Oscar Isaac confesses one of his biggest hopes for Moon Knight: That it will blow fans' minds. After being saddled with some unfortunate prosthetics in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse, Isaac is giving the superhero world another try with Marvel Studios' Moon Knight. A Disney+ show just like recent MCU hits like WandaVision and Hawkeye, the series stars Isaac as the titular caped vigilante, who gains his powers from the Egyptian moon god Khonshou. By day, though, he's the unassuming Steven Grant - at least, some of the time. Steven is one of the many personalities living inside Marc Spector, a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder.

When Moon Knight begins, Steven is the one in charge, and he's haunted by dreams and memories he has no recollection of. This somehow connects to Marc's past and his evolution into Moon Knight, but Marvel has been careful not to reveal too much beyond that. That means fans still have much to uncover when the show premieres at the end of March. In addition to Isaac, Moon Knight stars May Calamawy, Gaspard Ulliel, and Ethan Hawke as the primary villain, a cult leader named Arthur Harrow.

Isaac was one of the presenters at Sunday's SAG Awards, and he stopped on the red carpet to talk to Extra beforehand. During their conversation, where Isaac also revealed it was his first time at the SAGs, he got the chance to tease Moon Knight. Isaac confessed the project means a great deal to him, and that he really hopes it resonates with fans in a big way. His exact words were:

It comes out March 30th on Disney+. I'm so excited, it's - it's turned out to be like my baby. I put everything into it. I hope it blows people's minds as much as I think it will.

Though the overall reception to Marvel's Disney+ shows might be a bit mixed, there's no denying that these are shows that have provided some of the most jaw-dropping moments of the past year. From the entirety of WandaVision to Loki's season 1 cliffhanger, the shows proved the MCU could still pack a punch on the small screen. Now Moon Knight has the potential to really follow in their footsteps, and it so far stands a good chance of doing so. Marc is a vastly different hero than Marvel fans are used to, and the marketing for Moon Knight has only offered a small glimpse of his powers. In other words, no one really knows what to expect, so they can be seriously surprised by what's in store.

It's also sweet to hear just how much this show has come to mean to Isaac. Since Apocalypse, Isaac has largely stayed away from the comic book realm, and his comments about that movie have indicated he didn't have a great time appearing in a superhero project. However, Moon Knight has broken past his reservations and gave him something deeply personal. Moon Knight is being hyped as a true character study, and Isaac's performance sounds like it isn't one to be missed. The wait between now and the end of March already feels endless.
