's costume designer, Meghan Kasperlik, is revealing the hidden Easter eggs on its titular character's suit. The series premiered on Disney+ back on March 30 and follows Marc Spector/Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac). Marc is a mercenary with dissociative identity disorder, which has caused him to develop multiple personalities, namely Steven Grant, who finds himself involved in a dangerous mystery concerning Egyptian gods. Created by Jeremy Slater and based on the popular comic character of the same name, Moon Knight has quickly become one of the streaming platform's biggest hits, and one of Marvel's most popular television projects, drawing positive reactions from fans and critics alike. While much of the show's praise has been directed at its performances, many have also noted its ability to expand the MCU's standard formula, in part due to its unique story, visuals, and overall design.

Fans familiar with Moon Knight are aware of the character's abilities and that he acts as the avatar of Khonshu, the Egyptian moon god. Because of this, Marc Spector has to summon the suit, but it was revealed early on in the series that there are actually multiple versions of it. While Moon Knight dons a large hood and cape, the second costume, that of Mr. Knight, involves an all-white three-piece suit. The reasoning behind the different costumes in Moon Knight is that they distinguish Marc's identities, so the Mr. Knight suit signifies a separate alter for Steven Grant when he is in control. In addition to the two suits, some fans have also noticed the hieroglyphs on them, and it seems they serve as more than stylistic choices.

Now Kasperlik has explained to ComicBook that those hieroglyphs on both versions of the suit spell out phrases. She shares that the crest seen on Moon Knight's chest displays the oath of Khonshu. She also says that there are lots of other Easter eggs placed throughout the series and encourages audiences to try and pick up on them. Read Kasperlik's quote regarding the specific hieroglyphs on the two costumes below:

"'Rise and live again as my fist of vengeance. My Moon Knight,' That is in the hieroglyph in the trouser. On Mr. Knight, the Easter egg in that is that the buttons on the waistcoat are custom buttons that are Khonshu's symbol. I had a metalsmith in-house that was making all of those."

Jeremy Slater has discussed Moon Knight's suit as well, revealing that he knew early on that it had to be supernatural, as opposed to something tangible that Marc wears under his clothes. He also stated that after looking at an extensive amount of comic art, he found the Universe X design and felt that something conjured like the wrapping on a mummy would stand out among all of the other suits present in the MCU. The end result, as he put it, was one of the most distinct costumes Marvel has incorporated into one of their projects.

As Moon Knight awaits its final two episodes, it will be interesting to see if any other changes are made to the character's suit, especially with the common belief that Jake Lockley, a third identity, will be revealed. There is also the idea that Layla (May Calamawy) could become Khonshu's next avatar, and what her suit would look like is also worth thinking about. Fans of the series can look forward to finding out more and noticing other Easter eggs as Moon Knight continues.
