New fan art of Oscar Isaac's Marvel character Moon Knight presents a vision of the man and the vigilante in his classic white costume. Isaac is set to play the character, often touted as Marvel's version of DC's Batman, in a Disney+ live-action series. Moon Knight is one of many high-profile Marvel TV shows produced for the streaming service, as part of the MCU's expansion into different storytelling styles. Like many other Marvel shows, including Loki and The Falcon and the Winter SoldierMoon Knight will consist of a six-episode arc, serving to introduce the character to the MCU, with fans hoping he'll appear in movies in the future.

While Isaac himself hasn't confirmed his casting, recently Moon Knight DOP Gregory Middleton confirmed he's playing the part via a post on Instagram. Moon Knight is the alter ego of a man who calls himself Marc Spector, itself the assumed identity of a former mercenary turned billionaire investor, who is a vigilante by night. The character's duality is central to his identity, similar to how Bruce Wayne and Batman are seen as two sides of the same coin in the DC character's lore.

Now, digital artist Jackson Caspersz has created a piece of fan art that puts the character's duality front and center. The stunning art splits Isaac's face down the middle. On the left, Isaac is Marc Spector, dressed in a fine suit. On the right, Moon Knight's tattered and torn white costume covers his face. Caspersz admits that he doesn't know much about the character's origin in the caption, but he's certainly nailed his look and duality. You can see the art below:

The art is also appropriately gritty, something Marvel's head honcho Kevin Feige has hinted will be central to the show. Feige recently said he's hoping Moon Knight will be a return to a more down-to-earth hero, saying the show will not only see him taking bad guys on directly but will also explore his mental illness. This art acknowledges that approach, making it clear Spector is a man divided and broken into fragments by his different identities.

Moon Knight sounds more similar to Netflix's gritty Marvel series like Daredevil and The Punisher than the MCU movies, which have taken a lighter, if still serious, PG-13 approach to their characters. There's no word yet on when production will start, but it's likely to begin soon, as Disney is steaming ahead with production on its Marvel shows, attempting to fill the hole left by the lack of a theater experience thanks to the pandemic. Hopefully, that means Isaac himself will soon confirm his casting, and plot details can be released.
