Oscar Isaac, star of Marvel's upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight, reveals how it felt to put on his superhero costume for the first time. Isaac has ventured into the comic book realm before with his role in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse, but his latest foray will hopefully prove more successful. With Moon Knight, he steps into the role of Marc Spector, a vigilante who gains the powers of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Isaac was officially cast in the role last year, and the news was met with a wave of excitement from fans.

Little is known about the plot for Moon Knight, though it seems likely that it will delve into Marc's origin story. The series was first announced in 2019 and entered production earlier this year. Beyond Isaac, the cast includes May Calamawy and Ethan Hawke as the still-unknown villain. Currently, Moon Knight is slated to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2022, perhaps following the arrivals of Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk. As the wait continues for more information, Isaac is sharing some of his own feelings about the project.

Screen Rant received the opportunity to talk to Isaac about his latest movie The Card Counter, and during our conversation, we asked him about Moon Knight. On the subject of his costume, Isaac revealed what it was like when he first slipped it on. "It felt right. It felt absolutely right," he said. He added, "That's all I could say about it right now," so fans will have to wait for more teases about what Isaac's Marc Spector will look like.

Back in January, director of photography Gregory Middleton confirmed Moon Knight will include the white costume from the comics, so fans at least have some idea about what Isaac's supersuit will look like. The reveal of a superhero's costume is a major part of a comic book project's promotion, so the grand unveiling of Moon Knight's suit will likely be a special event. With the series still many months away, it will be a while before it happens. Still, fans can take comfort in Isaac's words; it felt right to him, so hopefully everyone will enjoy it too.

Moon Knight is poised to be one of the darkest MCU projects yet. Between Marc's shifting personalities and position as a vigilante, he's certainly a far cry from standard Marvel heroes like Steve Rogers and Thor. The series itself so far feels very separate from the rest of the MCU, though there are rumors that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk will appear in Moon Knight as well. For now, they remain unconfirmed, just like Isaac's full costume. Expect more updates to arrive in the coming months.
