A funny short video from Marvel shows actors struggling to keep the secrets of the upcoming Disney+ show Moon Knight to themselves. Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac as the titular Marvel comic book superhero character, who has not yet been adapted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The superhero, whose real name is Marc Spector, first appeared in comic book form in August 1975. Spector is a war-veteran and mercenary who made a pact with the Egyptian moon god, Khonshu. Diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Spector's alter, the mild-mannered civilian Steven Grant, discovers he shares a body with the Marvel hero.

Moon Knight's appearance in the MCU comes after much anticipation, with vague confirmation of his involvement in the franchise way back in 2018. No concrete plans formed, however, until Disney + announced the development of the Moon Knight series in late 2019, though filming didn't begin until nearly two years later. Now, finally, Isaac's Moon Knight will have his moment when the show premiers on March 30. However, as with all MCU projects, specific plot detail of the series have been kept tightly under-wraps.

A new promotional video from Marvel shows the stars of Moon Knight in a literal waiting room in anticipation of the show's release date. Isaac sits with co-stars Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy as the actors appear to be locked inside the tiny room without access to the outside world, in order to prevent any potential Moon Knight leaks. Hawke quips, "they're serious about the no spoilers thing," plafully referring to the omnipresent and surveillant Marvel Studios. Isaac protests the notion and begins to comment on Moon Knight – until censors promptly block him out. Watch the full clip below:

The cheeky video self-reflexively refers to Marvel's notoriously extreme secrecy surrounding its upcoming MCU releases, with actors instructed not to reveal any details whatsoever during the lead-up to a show like Moon Knight. Indeed, beyond Spector's known comic book origins, little has been confirmed about Moon Knight's plot which, as Marvel surely intended, increases fans' excitement exponentially. An especially air-tight lid is likely particularly important to Marvel Studios ahead of Moon Knight due to the exciting novelty of the show, since it is the first appearance of the superhero in the MCU. In addition to poking fun at Marvel's secrecy, the clip increases its "meta" approach by including joke "Employee of the Month" posters featuring Doctor Strange, given the highly-anticipated sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is the next MCU project to hit theaters in May.

In any case, Moon Knight's long-awaited appearance offers a big payoff for fans. Like stars Isaac, Hawke and Calamawy, keen viewers have been in their own waiting room in anticipation of the Disney+ series. What is in story for Isaac's character in the future, and whether or not he will appear alongside other beloved MCU superheroes, is yet to be confirmed. Until then, as this promotional video proves, Marvel's lips are unconditionally sealed.
