Mark Ruffalo says he's learned his lesson the hard way when it comes to Marvel spoilers in a cheeky new Twitter post referencing the Hulk and Moon Knight. Ruffalo is known in the MCU as Bruce Banner/Hulk, having taken over the role from Edward Norton, who starred in the 2008 solo film, The Incredible Hulk. Ruffalo made his debut in 2012's The Avengers and has appeared as the Green Goliath ever since in the MCU. He'll next hulk out for the Disney+ Marvel series She-Hulk, starring Tatiana Maslaney.

Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac in the titular role, playing Marc Spector, a mercenary left for dead and saved by the moon god, Konshu, who grants him moon-based powers. Created by Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin in 1975 and making his first appearance in Werewolf By Night #32, Moon Knight has been a mainstay in Marvel Comics ever since, appearing in multiple crossovers, solo series, and more. The Disney+ series is currently filming in Budapest with co-stars Ethan Hawke, who plays the villain role, as well as May Calamawy and Gaspard Ulliel.

Ruffalo has not been officially announced as part of Moon Knight's cast, but a Screen Rant story focusing on the coincidence of Ruffalo being in Budapest at the same time and place as Oscar Isaac caught the actor's attention, and he shared the story via his Twitter. The report focuses on the implication that Ruffalo may be appearing in the show, and Ruffalo was quick to cheekily point out that he has learned his lesson about spoilers the hard way, saying he's responsible for the next phase of the MCU, which may be a bit of a reveal in itself. Check out his Tweet below.

While it's entirely possible that Ruffalo was in Budapest filming scenes for She-Hulk, it's also very likely he was filming scenes for Moon Knight as well. The Tweet itself feels like a wink toward it being for Moon Knight, but time will tell if that has come to pass or not. Isaac is particularly busy at the moment, as he'll step from Moon Knight into Metal Gear Solid for director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. At the same time, Ruffalo will go from She-Hulk to the next Yorgos Lanthimos film, Poor Things. Both actors have had to play the spoiler game in their careers thus far, Ruffalo with his work in the MCU and Isaac with his work in the Star Wars universe, so this is a game both are well-versed with.

Ruffalo's comment about being "the" person responsible for the next phase of the MCU doesn't sound like it should be taken lightly. With Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Natasha Romanov out of the picture in the MCU and Thor doing off-world stuff with Thor: Love and Thunder, Banner is the last of the old guard, while Hawkeye is off filming his Disney+ series. If he's still under control of "the big guy," then Banner would be the soundest choice to be the figurehead for the MCU family from now on. All will be revealed as the next phase of MCU projects roll out, from Hawkeye to She-Hulk to Moon Knight. If Banner is continuously there, then Ruffalo may have given us another spoiler today.
