Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Moon Knight episode 1.

Although it is still early in Moon Knight's run, the newest MCU series is already teasing Marc Spector's most overpowered ability. The MCU is full of incredibly powerful characters, from Scarlet Witch to Captain Marvel, and one power that Moon Knight possesses makes him equally as powerful as those titanic heroes. Although he cannot yet use it, Moon Knight is hinting that Marc Spector may get to make use of this power by the end of the show.

Moon Knight follows museum employee Steven Grant and mercenary Marc Spector, two different personalities that share the same body. Marc Spector spends his time acting as a vigilante hero known as Moon Knight, while an unaware Steven Grant tries to uncover what his other half is up to. During all of this, the show's villain Arthur Harrow is growing his cult where he judges its members on behalf of the Egyptian deity Ammit.

In the comics, Moon Knight is the avatar of the moon god Khonshu, who grants Marc Spector various powers. These powers are greatly enhanced under a full moon, with his abilities ranging from increased durability to visions of the future. One of the things Moon Knight has been able to do, though, is much more powerful than anything else: he can drain someone's lifeforce just by touching them. This is a far cry from the mercenary who has appeared in the show so far, who has mostly just kicked, punched, and shot his way through enemies. However, by the end of the show, it is likely that Moon Knight will finally be able to wield this power.

Arthur Harrow shows off a similar power in Moon Knight. By touching someone with both hands, Arthur's scale tattoo begins to judge them. If the scale is unbalanced, the life is sucked out of whoever Arthur is judging, and they die instantly. Put simply; he can drain someone's lifeforce with physical contact. Both Arthur and Marc have a connection with Egyptian deities, so this may be a power Marc can wield as well. If he is to be facing off against supernatural creatures, as he does in Moon Knight episode 1, "The Goldfish Problem," some supernatural powers like this would help. Although Moon Knight in the comics doesn't get to use this power very often, the show is probably using this ability to set up a more powerful Marc Spector.

While draining someone's lifeforce simply by touch may seem overpowered, the MCU has changed the power levels of characters and abilities many times before. Marc Spector has been shown to be immune to Arthur's touch, so it may not work on other avatars. Alternatively, Moon Knight's death touch could only be a one-time thing, possibly being used in the finale against the show's big bad. It could also be toned down, not killing someone, but weakening them. Besides the odd undead jackal, Moon Knight tends to fight other human mercenaries, so the ability will have to be altered to prevent him from being too overpowered. However, it is undeniable that, through Arthur Harrow, Moon Knight is setting up Marc Spector's ability to kill enemies simply by touching them.
