In a preview for Moon Knight #6, on sale December 22 in print and digital, Marc Spector's new villain Zodiac wants to give him a brutal upgrade. Moon Knight’s new mission and direction are not sitting well with some, feeling he has strayed too far from the path of Khonshu - and Zodiac is going to set him right, one way or the other.

Moon Knight, under the direction of his patron deity Khonshu, recently attempted to steal the Avengers’ powers in a bid to defeat Mephisto. He was unsuccessful, and his failure led him to reassess his relationship with the moon god. Striking out on his own, Moon Knight returns to New York City, opening the Midnight Mission to continue his calling of protecting travelers at night, even if it's without Khonshu's support. Recently, a mysterious man named Zodiac has been toying with Moon Knight and made his move last issue. Now, Moon Knight is about to learn exactly what Zodiac wants with him. The issue is written by Jed Mackay, with art by Alessandro Cappucio, colors by Rachelle Rosenberg and letters by Cory Petit.

In a new preview shared by AIPT, Moon Knight, battered and brusied, threatens to kill Zodiac. Unfortunately, the off-kilter villain relishes this, saying, “That’s the Moon Knight I’ve always heard about.” Zodiac continues to egg Moon Knight on, and Moon Knight tells him that if Zodiac kills him, he will just come back and take brutal revenge. Zodiac, frustrated, tells Moon Knight he is not here to kill him, but to make him better. The scene then cuts to Reese, a Moon Knight ally and recently turned vampire, frantically trying to find help. Zodiac tells Moon Knight he is addicted to his own hypocrisy, but that he has a lot of potential.

It is clear Zodiac wants to do more than simply hurt Moon Knight. Zodiac is an agent of chaos, staging hugely ambitious heists such as unleashing a giant mech on New York just to distract its superheroes, and he clearly sees that same potential in Marc Spector. Leaving Khonshu has seen Moon Knight attempt to be less rigid and brutal, even allying himself with vampires, despite the centuries Khonshu's agents have spent locked in war with the undead. While he may still go way further than traditional superheroes like Spider-Man, Marc is on a better path, but Zodiac wants him back at his most dangerous. For a villain obsessed with overturning the social order, a killer superhero is exactly what the world needs.

Moon Knight marches to his own drum, but some, such as Zodiac, are not pleased with this, and wish to set him back "right" - even if it destroys everything he's working to build. Fans can find out if the villain will be successful when Moon Knight #6 hits retailers December 22.
