Warning! Contains a preview for Moon Knight #11

A new preview for Marvel's Moon Knight features the perfect use for Marc Spector's cape. Beyond its ability to help him glide over rooftops and simply being a bold fashion choice, the Fist of Khonshu has found another means for his cape that's incredibly handy in a fight. Taking place during a final reckoning with Marc's new rival Zodiac, it looks as though Moon Knight will be pulling out all the stops to take the supervillain down (even if that means working with a certain mood god).

As seen in previous issues of Moon Knight from Jed MacKay and Alessandro Cappuccio, Marc Spector has established his Midnight Mission in New York, a new base of operations from which he can help the travelers of the night. During this time, he's also allied himself with Khonshu's other Fist of Justice known as the Hunter's Moon (a much more faithful servant than Marc). While Moon Knight had also been attending mandatory sessions with an Avengers-appointed therapist named Dr. Andrea Sterman, she was recently kidnapped by Zodiac.

Intending to rescue Sterman in the new preview for Moon Knight #11, Marc is joined by his old friend Tigra from his West Coast Avengers days as well as Rutherford Winner, a former assassin and fellow patient of Sterman's. Determined to save Andrea at all costs, Moon Knight's only rule is to keep her safe no matter how ugly things have to get to make that happen. Case in point, Moon Knight removes his cape and gives it to Tigra who uses it as the perfect distraction, keeping one of Zodiac's men occupied long enough for Marc to attack from behind. MOON KNIGHT #11- THE KILLING TIME, PART ONE

Moon Knight and his allies race against time to save a life, while Zodiac puts in motion his plans for his final strike against the Fist of Khonshu. Trapped in an unwinnable battle, Moon Knight must go to the last person he’d ever want to for aid.

Although the Mr. Knight costume is the typical persona to go without a cape, the capeless Moon Knight featured in this preview is quite the dynamic look. Furthermore, giving the cape to an ally as a distraction is brilliant. It's also something that Batman would have a harder time pulling off seeing as how his cape is black and meant to blend with the shadows (while Moon Knight's is very much the exact opposite).

While it's a very cool move, it seems as though Moon Knight's cape trick is only the tip of the iceberg as his final battle with Zodiac begins. It's likely that Moon Knight will succeed in saving Andrea Sterman, though the synopsis teases that Zodiac is only getting started in his gauntlet against the Fist of Justice. It's also hinted that Marc will have to go to the last person Moon Knight would ever go to for help. As such, it stands to reason that Khonshu himself will be called upon for help despite Marc's recent rejection of the moon god. Either way, fans will learn more about Moon Knight's plan of attack when the full issue releases on May 25th.
