Marvel has revealed images of the cast of Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, including the Beyonder, who'll be voiced by Laurence Fishburne. Fishburne is also co-creator of the Disney Channel animated series alongside Helen Sugland. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur stars Diamond White and Fred Tatiascore as the titular characters.

Adapted from the Marvel Comics characters introduced in November 2015, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur sees gifted 13-year-old super-genius, Lunella Lafayette, transport a red Tyrannosaurus rex to present-day New York, striking up a friendship with the dinosaur. Announced in 2018 with Fishburne and Sugland set to produce, the series was originally set to air on the Disney Channel in 2020. Despite this, the series was delayed by 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic forcing the closure of Disney Television Animation studios and production and the series having to be moved to a remote work structure. After being pushed back, the first trailer for Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur was released in December 2021, promising a bright, fun series with a lighthearted tone. Following this, fans have been given a better look at its cast, including one of Marvel's most powerful figures.

As reported by Bleeding Cool, Marvel has released images and summaries of the main cast, as well as Fishburne's recurring cosmic character. Dressed in black and white with bright blue hair, Fishburne's Beyonder is described as self-centered, and mysterious, and while he might be one of the universe's all-powerful entities, he fails to understand humans. Alongside the Beyonder were images of Mimi and Pops, Lunella's grandparents, who are voiced by Alfre Woodard and Gary Anthony Williams, respectively. Mimi is described as the family's rock who offers advice when needed, while Pops is described as a talented craftsman who is able to make anything as good as new. Check out the character images below:

Though Fishburne is no stranger to Marvel, having played Bill Foster in the MCU for Ant-Man and the Wasp as well as voiced the Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, the Beyonder may be a less familiar character to more recent Marvel fans. Created by Jim Shooter and Mike Zeck, the character first appeared in 1984's Secret Wars storyline as a curious omnipotent being who abducts many of Marvel's iconic characters, forcing them to fight on an alien world to witness the battle between good and evil. The character made his first physical appearance in Secret Wars II, the 1986 sequel to the original story which saw the Beyonder study humanity in human form on Earth.

While a Secret Wars MCU adaptation has been discussed for some time by fans and creatives, Fishburne's Beyonder may be a good introduction to the character for new audiences. While he likely won't be abducting heroes to Battleworld in the animated series, his description sounds similar to the entity's characterization in Secret Wars II, with his curiosity and mischievous side likely causing a headache for Lunella and Devil Dinosaur. While the Beyonder is so far the only confirmed cosmic character for Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Fishburne's omnipotent entity is sure to be an enjoyable, fun presence in the animated series.
