With the first season of Monsters at Work now being released weekly, it's a great chance to take a look into some of the series' best characters. Many fans were questioning whether this can live up to the famous Pixar movie Monsters, Inc., from which it is influenced, and with this cast, it certainly comes close.
There are many Monsters characters that fans are hoping to see in the upcoming episodes, but until now, some of the current ones have managed to stand out. From the amazing and well-known Mike Wazowski to the new main character of Tylor Tuskmon, the series features many great characters to get the fans excited.
Cutter
Cutter is a side character in Monsters at Work and a member of the MIFT team. Although she doesn't have a leading role, she is seen multiple times throughout the series.
While being an extremely capable engineer, her personality seems to be split between working hard and hardly working. In addition, she is a great character to have around and feels like she is adding something unique to every scene that fans love.
Needleman And Smitty
Needleman and Smitty are two of the best returning characters from Monsters, Inc. They maintain a similar role in Monsters at Work since they work as a pair cleaning the company.
They are mostly known for their goofy behavior, and fans are excited to have them back. Whenever a scene needs saving, or a bit extra laughter, Needleman and Smitty come to the rescue through their brief but funny appearances.
Roz And Roze
Roz was famous from Monsters, Inc. and her return in Monsters At Work only lasted for one episode. Nevertheless, within the very next day, she was replaced by her identical twin sister Roze, who speaks and acts exactly like her.
Even now, both sisters can be seen haunting Mike about doing his paperwork while shouting "Wazowski" in their very characteristic speaking tone.
Banana Bread
Banana Bread was part of the MIFT team and everyone thought that he couldn't speak at all. Nevertheless, at Ms. Flint's comedy class, she notices him and they start discussing.
This is when fans find out that Banana Bread is actually named Winchester, can communicate with Ms. Flint properly, and even has the potential to be a great jokester. This unexpected comeback makes him a great character that fans are hoping to see more of.
Duncan P. Anderson
Duncan is part of the MIFT team and quickly becomes one of the show's best characters when he meets Tylor. Duncan believes that he deserves to be in charge when Fritz retires and that Tylor tries to steal this place from him.
He takes the role of a somehow villainous character who tries to scare Tylor, and even attempts to injure him. Nevertheless, he does that in a funny way (for the viewers, not for Tylor), which makes him a fan-favorite character.
Fritz
What's not to love from Fritz? Straight from day 1 of Tylor's arrival at MIFT, Fritz tries to make him feel at home. He presents MIFT as a family willing to take Tylor in while trying to act as a father figure.
When Tylor says he already has a father, Fritz humorously settles for being the figure of a cool uncle who keeps in touch. Above all Fritz is characterized by his covert humor and his idea of MIFT being more than just a work team.
Val Little
Val Little is part of the MIFT team, and most importantly Tylor's college friend. They knew each other from one common class they had in college, and Val was full of memories from that class.
Even though it's hard to find out which of these memories were true and which weren't, she is a great character throughout the show as she stays close and always supports Tylor.
Tylor Tuskmon
Tylor is the main character of Monsters at Work. Despite being accepted as a scarer in Monsters Inc, he ends up joining the MIFT team while dreaming of becoming a jokester.
Although he takes some selfish choices regarding the Bowl-off-a-thon, and even makes Val feel bad about not remembering her, he makes the right choices in the end. He ends up feeling close to the MIFT team, while also being a friend to both Mike and Sulley. He appears as a great character overall that fans love.
Mike Wazowski
Mike Wazowski, one of the fans' favorite characters from Monsters, Inc., makes a return in Monsters at Work. He is the co-leader of Monsters Inc or as he calls himself in short SCPOMICE VDADOCREM.
He quickly becomes one of the best characters in the series since he is presented as a great employer, a dedicated and hard-working employee, and most importantly, a funny character. In addition, he reveals some commitment issues with the human baby Snore, similar to Boo from Monsters Inc.
James P. Sullivan
Sulley was responsible for some of the most emotional moments in Monsters Inc and is now presented as the main boss of the reimagined company. Nevertheless, after all these years, he still remains one of the fans' favorite characters.
He is characterized by his relaxed boss everything-is going-to-be-fine attitude, while he is often seen teasing Mike. Despite having more of a supporting role in the series, fans simply can't get enough of Sulley.
