How can any action fan ignore a TV show centered around a bank robbery? Netflix has hit on their hands with Money Heist and rightfully so. The show is non-stop action mixed with just the right amount of mystery. The first three seasons had viewers on the edge of their seats, but Season 4 added more intrigue with new faces and new obstacles.
Each season leaves off with a major cliffhanger and Season 4 was no different. But what should fans expect from the 5th season of Money Heist? Here are 10 questions we need answered.
Will Rio And Tokio Get Back Together?
Through the first three seasons, the main love connection on the show was between Rio and Tokio. At the end of Season 2, the duo vanished together on an island, only to have Tokio go stir crazy and leave Rio alone. This resulted in him getting arrested and one of the reasons for robbing the Bank of Spain. Rio was rescued, then broke up with Tokio.
But at the end of Season 4, they appeared to have shared a warming embrace. Does this mean they will find their way back to each other in Season 5?
Will Alicia Join The Crew?
At the end of Season 4, Alicia caught The Professor red-handed. What will she do? Will she ask him to help clear her name? Will she kill him or will she pull a Raquel move and join the team? Joining the team seems predictable and one thing Money Heist is not--is predictable. So what will be the move here?
She's wanted by the law and has no one to turn to. It's safe to say that they will come to some type of understanding. But Alicia joining the team appears to be a big fat no.
Will We See Nairobi Again?
At the end of Season 2, the crew lost a valuable member in Berlin. Through Seasons 3 and 4, viewers were given the true backstory of Berlin, his brother The Professor, and Serna. Will we get the same thing with Nairobi in Season 5? According to actress Alba Flores, she is done filming for the series.
If there were to be flashbacks scenes, then let the viewers get these of Nairobi and her son and not those of Berlin and the Monks.
Will Anyone Kill Palermo For Nairobi?
Palermo made possibly the biggest mistakes ever in Money Heist. With his feelings hurt, he helped Gandia escape which, in turn, caused Nairobi plenty of pain then resulted in her death. With that said, why wasn't he killed? Why didn't one of the other team members put a bullet in his head? According to The Professor, he's vital to the mission but so was Nairobi.
Despite the orders of The Professor, it was surprising to see the team let that one go when she was apart of the family from the beginning.
Why Waste The Helicopter Escape Plan?
The team had the perfect escape plan, but maybe they hatched it too early? With Nairobi dead and Gandia secured as their prisoner, The Professor had an Army helicopter fly to the bank in an attempt to fool the police. But thinking back, why hatch this plan if they weren't ready?
It was all a distraction to get Raquel to the bank, but this type of helicopter would have been perfect to get everyone and the gold out. Did they show their hand too early?
Does The Professor Really Love Raquel?
Is it all a game to The Professor? He's smart, calculating, vengeful, and full of deceit. During the third season, the professor kept dropping hints that eluded to him using Raquel. In her eyes, she has found true love, but The Professor, at times, comes across as a maniac who's willing to do whatever he can to get what he wants.
He does or says something awful to her then apologizes then turns right around and does it again. Does he really love her?
Who's Next To Die?
Death has been a mainstay in every season of Money Heist. Losing members of the team is never out of the question. With the death of Nairobi, no one is safe. So, who will it be in Season 5? The Professor has a gun to his head. Tokio is out of control, Rio is a ball of nerves, and everyone just wants revenge.
Losing Berlin, Moscu, and then Nairobi was huge, but fans should expect a bigger loss in Season 5. Denver adds too much comic relief, The Professor would go crazy with the death of Raquel, so that leaves either Serna, Helsinki, or Bogota. At this point, it's a toss-up.
Will Denver And Monica Get Over Their Issues?
Their union was one of mystery to begin with. Denver was robbing the bank and Monica was just caught in the emotion of it all. She was dealing with a married man and may have been caught up in the entire aspect of the hero syndrome. It appeared to be a perfect match, but after time, that feeling wears off.
At the start of Season 3, they appeared to be happy, but as soon as the new heist began, there was tension. Denver didn't want his wife involved, but Monica was hell-bent on going. Where do they stand entering Season 5?
Will Angel Flip?
What will Angel do? He has to know that the government is corrupt. Will he decide to flip sides and join his friend Raquel? The first moment they spoke at the beginning of Season 3, you could tell they still held a close bond. After Nairobi was killed and her body carried out by the guards, it was Angel who consoled Raquel right in front of the other officers.
Angel turning could be a big issue, as the fun has been watching Angel chase his former friend and her new man down. Why take that away from the viewers?
Why Is Arturo Roman Still Alive?
His presence in the first two seasons was needed. But why include him in the third and fourth? His time with Monica set the stage for Denver to make a play, but two years and not knowing his son was justice enough.
Then, in Season 4, he did the unthinkable. He drugged another hostage and raped her. In what sense did viewers ever get the notion that he was that demented? If anyone should have been killed off, it was Arturo Roman. His acts of disrespect should have called for a gruesome death.
