The upcoming Marvel series M.O.D.O.K. will be featuring a familiar villain from the X-Men franchise: Mr. Sinister. M.O.D.O.K. is a new animated installment in the world of Marvel television coming exclusively to the streaming platform Hulu, and the titular character M.O.D.O.K. will be voiced by Patton Oswalt. Though there aren’t many story details available for the series, it appears that one familiar villain will be making an appearance.

In a recent tweet, M.O.D.O.K. co-creator Jordan Blum revealed the X-Men villain Mr. Sinister will be featured in the series. Blum expressed his excitement for Mr. Sinister’s appearance in the show and directed fans towards writer Zeb Well’s portrayal of Mr. Sinister in the comic series Hellions. The inclusion of Mr. Sinister is exciting for X-Men comic fans, especially since it follows Marvel's recent trend of incorporating more X-Men elements into their stories. However, some Marvel comics fans have expressed skepticism of the series, claiming that this comedy series is a waste of M.O.D.O.K.’s potential as a character. M.O.D.O.K. is expected to premiere early this year, and hopefully, when it does, the characters like Mr. Sinister and M.O.D.O.K. will be put to good use.
