Lily Tucker-Pritchett is the adorable and snarky only daughter of Modern Family's Cameron and Mitchell. She has been an important part of the series since the sitcom started and it's been fun for viewers to see her grow up over 11 seasons.

As adorable and empathetic as Lily can be with her dads, she can also be incredibly ruthless with those around her. She kicked Dylan out of her house, made fun of Jay's nose, and picked up on Claire's snarky one-liners. But for every cheeky moment, there's a sweet one hiding in there somewhere. Lily is one complex kid, but that's what makes her the perfect Modern Family character.

Annoying: Stealing A Bra

Cam, Mitch and Lily at a mall on Modern Family

Cam and Mitch have always been open and honest dads. They have always encouraged Lily to talk to them if she had any lady's troubles or female issues. When the men sensed Lily needed a female figure they always called Gloria for backup.

However, when it came time for a bra, Lily didn't know how to approach the topic. She instead framed her dads but slipping a bra into their shopping bag at the mall. Mitch and Cam got in trouble by security as Lily laughed at them and claimed she did it as a "joke." Instead of coming forward with her dads, she resorted to theft, which is not what her parents taught her.

Sweetest: Confiding In Claire

In season 10's "Stand by Your Man," Claire is watching Lily while Cam and Mitch are out celebrating their anniversary. It's then that viewers learn that Claire is afraid of Lily. The two never talk on a deep level and Lily is just sort of "there."

But in an adorable moment, Lily confronts Claire and asks why she doesn't like her. Lily praises Claire's coolness and how she doesn't "give a damn." These are all attributes Lily looked up to. Seeing the two bond was a sweet and transformative moment.

Annoying: Thinks Alex Is A Nerd

Alex Dunphy is the black sheep of the family. Some fans think that title goes to Manny, but he has Luke as a best friend. They're always together during family events and at school. Alex doesn't have that with anyone in her family, especially not with Haley.

Seeing as Lily was brighter than Mitch and Cam anticipated, she could have gotten on well with Alex but that never happened. Instead, Lily called Alex a nerd, judged her taste in books, got annoyed by her feminism, and wanted to hang out with Haley instead. As Lily grew, she called herself "different" and claimed she doesn't fit in like other kids. She never once realized that she felt the same way Alex did when she was her age.

Sweetest: Donated Her Puppy Pound

When Cam saw a holiday event going on for the needy, he brought Lily and the two spent the day there. They drank hot cocoa, received gifts, and took pictures with Santa. Lily even received her very own Puppy Pound — a toy she desperately wanted for Christmas.

But when Cam found out that the event was for the needy instead of raising money for the needy, he realized they were greedy and tried to leave quickly. Lily could have escaped with her Puppy Pound but she decided to give it to a child who really was in need and wanted it.

Annoying: How She Reacted To KimmyLoveandStuff

In the episode "We Need to Talk About Lily," Mitch and Cameron feared Lily was going through a dark phase. She was quiet, reserved, and was ignoring them. To make her feel better, Mitch and Cam found a way to go to KimmyLoveandStuff's VIP party.

KimmyLoveandStuff was supposedly Lily's favorite blogger but when Cam and Mitch introduced the two, Lily couldn't have cared less. She embarrassed KimmyLoveandStuff on her channel and got Mitch and Cam in trouble with their friend who got them into the party.

Sweetest: Defended Her Dads

In "A Stereotypical Day," Lily invites her friend—who is transgender—over to play. Cam and Mitch were so proud of their daughter for being inclusive and were also proud of themselves for being so open. But when Cam and Mitch hear Lily call her friend names, they jump off their high horse and realized that Lily wasn't as open as they thought she was.

After they spoke to Lily, they found out Lily wasn't bullying him — she was protecting her fathers. Her friend made fun of the fact that she had her dads painted on her wall; Lily's defensiveness had nothing to do with his gender. It was sweet to see Lily defend Mitch and Cam in that way.

Annoying: Tried Framing Dwight

football player - modern family

When Cameron's star football player's family moves away, Cameron takes him in as his house guest so that he could finish the football season.

Lily hated the fact that Dwight was living with them because Mitch and Cam never asked her how she felt about it. Her point was valid but she went against Dwight in the worse of ways. She tried framing him for underage drinking by taking the neighbors empty liquor bottles. Cam, Mitch, and Dwight found out what she was doing and played it off to teach her a lesson but it didn't work. Lily had no remorse.

Sweetest: Encouraging Her Dads To Adopt Rexford

In the 11th and final season, Cameron and Mitchell had the opportunity to adopt another child, but only if they wanted to. The couple only had a couple of hours to decide and run the idea past Lily. To their surprise, Lily was all for having a baby brother. She thought it would be good to have the attention off of her for a little bit and to have their family expand.

Lily is known for being judgmental and snarky, so it was surprising that she was so mature and level-headed about the new addition. It was because of Lily's wise words that Cam and Mitch went through with the adoption.

Annoying: Lashed Out At Her Dads

Modern Family- Non-existent Lily Cropped

To be fair, every teenager gets sassy when they reach a certain age. Even though Lily was best friends with her dads as a little girl, things changed when Lily turned 12. She started finding her own interests and spent more time with friends. Sadly, this meant that she lashed out at her dads. Cam and Mitch were quickly trying to catch up with Lily's hormones and be supportive parents but they ended up annoying her instead.

Sweetest: Embracing Missouri

Mitch talks to Lily and Cam on the farm in Modern Family

Lily grew up in the outskirts of Las Angeles with her two dads. She went to public school, did well in her studies, and had no trouble making friends or meeting boys. She had a very comfortable and happy childhood in the place she grew up.

Knowing this, it's shocking that she was content with moving to Missouri at such a pivotal time in her teenage years. It proved that she was selfless and would do anything to see her dads successful and happy.
