Sony San Diego's MLB The Show 22 headlines the Xbox Game Pass April 2022 lineup, which also includes the likes of Life is Strange: True Colors. Microsoft confirmed MLB The Show 22's Game Pass release earlier this year when Sony announced the new entry for PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox consoles. Notably, this year's installment marks the franchise's second outing on Xbox consoles and its first on Nintendo hardware. The Major League Baseball-branded simulation has yet to migrate to PC.

In the last several months, Xbox Game Pass has unlocked access to a slew of must-play experiences for its millions upon millions of subscribers across PC and console. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition counts as one such title, having joined PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play earlier this year. Other noteworthy additions to the service in recent months include Dragon Ball FighterZ, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and indie darling Tunic. Immersive sim Weird West hit Game Pass late last month, as well. April's lineup of new titles should also please many a subscriber.

An Xbox Wire post has confirmed which experiences will come to Xbox Game Pass throughout the next couple of weeks. The currently available MLB The Show 22 headlines the list of additions, of course. Chinatown Detective Agency joins the service on April 7 for cloud, PC, and console. Subscribers with access to the cloud version can also expect to gain access to the following adventures via EA Play: Dragon Age 2, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and Star Wars: Squadrons. April 12 will mark another big day for Microsoft's subscription model, courtesy of Life is Strange: True Color's arrival on console, cloud, and PC. Game Pass PC members will additionally see Panzer Corps 2 and The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk appear in the listings come April 12. Finally, thanks to Game Pass' EA Play connection, players on cloud, PC, and console can jump into the bizarre world of Lost in Random on April 14.

MLB The Show 22 alone serves as a big win for the subscription service. Add in Life is Strange: True Colors, Star Wars: Squadrons, and Lost in Random, and Game Pass members will keep busy for many weeks to come. This especially holds true when factoring in other EA Play-based arrivals such as Dragon Age 2 and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

Microsoft rolled out its forward-thinking streaming program in the summer of 2017, with many pundits and players alike quickly billing it as the Netflix of gaming. It's grown exponentially in the nearly five years since then, too. Xbox Game Pass topped 23 million users in early 2021 and had logged upwards of 25 million paid members as of January 2022. Suffice it to say, Microsoft's Xbox team must be doing something right.
