Misha Collins may be best known for Supernatural but here's a guide to some of his other major film and TV credits. Misha Collins started his career in the late 1990s, with his first credit being an episode of historical drama Legacy starring Brett Cullen (Joker). Further guest appearances on shows like Charmed and NYPD Blue followed, while he also appeared in movies Liberty Heights and Girl, Interrupted alongside Wiona Ryder and Angelina Jolie.

One of Misha Collins' first big roles came with the first season of 24 in 2001. Collins played villain Alexis Drazen, son of Jack Bauer's old nemesis Victor, played by Dennis Hopper (Speed). Collins has expressed disappointment over working with screen legend Hopper, who was seemingly unengaged with the show and even placed a sandwich on Collins' head out of boredom while filming Alexis' death scene. Collins would spend the next few years appearing on episodes of shows NCIS, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Without A Trace.

In 2006 Misha Collins starred alongside Laura Prepon (Orange Is The New Black) in controversial drama Karla. This movie was based on the notorious, real-life crimes of Canadian serial killers Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo. and Collins has since revealed his regret over appearing in the project. He also co-starred alongside Paul Rudd and Eva Longoria in the poorly-received romantic comedy Over Her Dead Body, about a ghost who tries to ruin her fiancee's new romance.

Of course, Misha Collins is best known for playing Castiel on Supernatural. The character was introduced in the fourth season and is the angel who freed Dean from Hell. Castiel helps the Winchester brothers in their mission to hunt and destroy supernatural creatures and while he was initially quite stiff and humorless, the character has really evolved and become more human in the years that followed. Both Collins and Castiel are beloved by the show's fanbase too.

Misha Collins has been kept plenty busy by Supernatural, which is ending with its fifteenth season. Outside of the show, Collins has made guest appearances on the likes of Nip/Tuck, the Sarah Michelle Gellar drama Ringer and played the lead in the 2010 disaster movie Stonehenge Apocalypse. More recently, he played famed lawman Eliot Ness on an episode of Timeless, loaned his voice to The Venture Bros and appeared in both of The Hillywood Show's popular Supernatural parody videos, first as himself and in the second as the receptionist to Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki's Ghostbusters. With Misha Collins' time on Supernatural coming to an end, it will be interesting to see where the talented actor's career goes from here.
