In preparation for the upcoming Super Bowl LVI, a dedicated Minecraft player has recreated the venue for 2022's big game: SoFi Stadium. As the sandbox game's capabilities have improved over the past decade, players have managed to produce consistently grander creations without sacrificing attention to detail.

When it comes to the many massive builds, most are inspired by works of fiction and can sometimes span entire worlds such as a recent Minecraft recreation of Star Wars' Tatooine. Sometimes, though, creators will take inspiration from reality by reconstructing famous landmarks that in many cases are to scale with their real-world counterparts. Most dedicated players who take on such a task go even further by trying to match as many details as possible to deepen the immersion of the final result.

Reddit user bubbaflubba2 showcased their recent contribution to the ever-growing catalog of impressive Minecraft builds with their recreation of SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. According to the creator it took over 100 hours during a timeframe of two months to construct the home of the Rams, who are coincidentally playing in this year's Super Bowl. The reddit user was able to finish it just in time before the big game and shared a series of images highlighting various aspects of the build. Bubbaflubba2's recreation not only covers the stadium itself, but it also features the surrounding grounds including the manmade Rivers Lake.

The detail captured in this recreation of the unique stadium appears to be extremely accurate in all the images. It is unclear, however, just how in-depth the build fully goes as bubbaflubba2 did not share images of the less glamorous parts of the stadium such as the concourse or tunnels. Last year another creator showcased their Minecraft version of the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland that had all of these foundational elements fully realized.

While there seems to be an unending stream of massive and detailed builds produced by the Minecraft community, the impact of these creations still holds weight. It takes so much time to plan out and execute a design on a scale like SoFi Stadium that seeing it completed is still awe-inspiring even though there are some creations that are significantly bigger. Bubbaflubba2 should be further commended for their work by timing out the whole process so that they would get the job done just in time for Super Bowl LVI. Hopefully, the game itself can be as impressive as this recreation.
