Google’s simplistic Dinosaur Game, which can be accessed in Google Chrome when the Internet is out, has been meticulously remade in Minecraft in an impressive Redstone build. As an extremely versatile tool, Redstone can be used to create the craziest computing systems and automated machines.

One of the latest examples of Redstone’s wild functionality is a self-assembling Minecraft railroad, which can transport a player between two underground stations, completely disappearing in the walls afterward. It’s a fully automated system that builds itself dynamically while a minecart is rolling on the magically appearing rails. A full ride on such a railroad is a sight to behold, but interestingly, the author plans to incorporate brilliant Redstone solutions in even more elaborate builds.

The famous Dinosaur Game, developed by Google in 2014 for its Chrome browser, has just received an unlikely remake in Minecraft. On Reddit, an ingenious Redstone engineer named craft0224 offered a video demonstration of the recreated minigame launched in Mojang’s crafting/survival title. Using Redstone lamps to represent individual pixels in Minecraft, the builder programmed a monitor-shaped array of blocks to act as a gaming display. A giant Redstone computing system can be seen right behind the improvised screen, implying just how much effort was put into recreating Google’s simple yet strangely addictive game. The result is completely playable in Minecraft, allowing a player to control the dinosaur to avoid appearing obstacles.

Not only the latest Redstone creation is an amazing proof-of-concept, but in a way, it also adds an actual blocky dinosaur to vanilla Minecraft without the need to rely on mods or expansions. Sadly, prehistoric creatures are not currently available in the game but there’s a dedicated Jurassic World DLC for Minecraft’s Bedrock Edition. The downloadable content package hosts a variety of additions, the most inspiring one of which is an opportunity to build a working Jurassic Park with living dinosaurs. The facility can be expanded to include numerous iconic points of interest.

It appears that there isn’t a single thing in the Universe that can’t be recreated in Minecraft. One way or another, talented gamers continue outperforming themselves, especially in assembling groundbreaking Redstone machines. As a basic mechanic available in the game, it makes ingenious player creations much more impressive in comparison to mods, which generally alter the vanilla client too much. And the fact that a playable game can be recreated inside Minecraft without any additional tools is outright magical.
