One Minecraft player shared their massive pirate's cave, which looks like a fantastic place to store buried treasure. After a long day of using the many treasure maps one can find across the world of Minecraft, having a cove to park their (non-sailing) ship is a must. While caves like this will be automatically generated when the Minecraft: Caves & Cliffs Part 2 update goes live next week, this player takes time to point out the painstaking effort they used to build the massive cavern.

The Caves & Cliffs Part 2 update will generate new, massive caves, expanding the height of the worlds that players can explore. The update will include many new cave variants, like the Dripstone Cave and Lush Cave, which will themselves include new blocks and items like moss, Glow Berries, Spore Blossoms, and more. Previously-announced features like the Deep Dark and its new, powerful boss, the Warden, will not be added in the 1.18 update of Minecraft, Mojang Studios announced earlier this year. But, even though the number of features to be added pales in comparison to what was promised, most players are excited to explore the new caves. One Minecraft player got in on the action ahead of schedule.

Redditor RandomUser_No5 shared their creation, a giant cave that they converted into their very own pirate's cove. Traversing through the cave in their own tiny rowboat, RandomUser_No5 takes players on a journey through the cave's river, spotlighting all the hanging fauna, the wooden bridges that connect the caves and intersect above the river, and the many docks created to let pirates drop anchor and share the spoils of their plundering. Even though RandomUser_No5 says that they wanted to share before the 1.18 update makes their build "less impressive" it's hard to imagine that a naturally-generated cave could measure up to this.

Of course, Minecraft players are well-known for using the game's open-world sandbox to make their own intricate creations. Even though piracy is already acknowledged in Minecraft by the inclusion of treasure maps, sunken ships, and parrots as companions, it's quite cool to see a player truly get into the swashbuckling spirit.

When the Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part 2 update drops later in November, there may be more caves for players to explore. Hopefully, some will decide to create their own pirate coves just like RandomUser_No5. Unfortunately, none of them will have put in the time, effort, and care to create the perfect pirate cove that this Redditor showed.
