With the 20th anniversary of Lord of the Rings being celebrated this year, one Minecraft player decided to build an adventurous Hobbit Hole that will transport players to Middle Earth. One of the best things about Minecraft is how creative the community is; over the years many players have built impressive builds, including full cities and setpieces from beloved films. One talented player even built a giant red panda in Minecraft.

Minecraft is full of endless possibilities and the creations players come up with are always impressive. There are many different ways one can play the game, but the most awe-inspiring builds tend to get a lot of recognition in the Minecraft community. Players will challenge themselves and each other to come up with bigger and more impressive builds, trying different methods along the way. In the game's creative mode, players have access to all of the different building materials without having to obtain the resources on their own. This makes it a lot easier for players to quickly build whatever their hearts desire. One player even discovered how to use Redstone to make a working train ride through one of the Minecraft biomes.

Reddit user Blockception recently posted their build of a Hobbit Hole in the Minecraft subreddit. Hobbit Holes are dwellings that are built into the dirt, usually seen in hills like those of Bag End, home of the Bagginses. Many times Minecraft players who are replicating these recognizable domiciles will build the home inside of a hill, and they'll have a front entrance and a garden visible. Blockception decided to add some other elements to the outside of their Hobbit Hole. They included some decorative pieces on the windows and added stacked lumber and hay to provide for the Hobbits wtihin. The home even includes two chimneys that are made of brick and have trapdoors as the top, giving the whole thing a very authentic look.

Building Hobbit Holes in Minecraft is a great way for beginning builders to work on their skills. As one commenter on the Reddit post mentioned, building a Hobbit Hole uses fewer resources and lets players learn how to use the surrounding landscape to their favor. Hobbit Holes are also a player's way of paying homage to the Lord of the Rings series. Starting with smaller builds like these is a good way to improve and learn how to eventually make massive builds like a highly detailed Great Fox ship from Star Fox. It can also be a way for players to challenge themselves to make builds while in survival mode, since players will have to collect resources and fight off mobs while trying to make an elaborate build. Starting with Hobbit Holes can be a fun way for players to let their imaginations take over and create a welcoming home fit for a Hobbit.

The creativity of the Minecraft community is always impressive. Each day new builds are shared on the subreddit and tutorials are posted on YouTube to inspire more and more builders. With the number of resources available, there will be no shortage of builds for players to come up with. This is especially true now that the new update called The Wild Update is set to release in 2022. There will be new biomes players will be able to explore and build materials they can use to create even more impressive builds for many years to come.
