The Minecraft Live 2021 presentation is set to happen this month, and fans are anticipating a variety of exciting news and other updates regarding the game's next big update, Caves & Cliffs Part 2. Other expected content includes a brand new mob vote - similar to what was seen ahead of Caves & Cliffs Part 1's release - and potentially a variety of other reveals that have yet to be announced. Here's everything there is to know about when exactly the stream will happen and where it can be watched.

The Caves & Cliffs update was first announced during 2020's Minecraft Live last October, although early on in 2021 it was split into two halves. The first half, Caves & Cliffs Part 1, came out this summer, bringing new items and mobs to the world of Minecraft. The second half of the update seems poised to be much bigger, increasing the world height and depth as well as cave and mountain generation. Additional biomes, a new hostile mob, and altered ore generation have all been promised as features that will be appearing in Minecraft's latest expansion.

Currently, little is known about Caves & Cliffs Part 2's release date or what unannounced changes could be introduced ahead of its release. Mojang Studios has previously planned for a tentative release window of the 2021 holiday season, but little news has been heard other than that. The upcoming world changes, however, have been extensively previewed in the form of experimental Minecraft snapshots over the last several months as developers attempt to hammer out bugs ahead of the launch window.

Where & When To Watch 2021's Minecraft Live

Minecraft Live Caves & Cliffs Part 2 Reveal When & How To Watch Mob Vote Glare

Minecraft Live 2021 will take place on October 16 at 12 noon ET, 11 AM CT, 9 AM PT, and 5 PM BST, which should bring with it the latest Caves & Cliffs Part 2 news, as it appears that Mojang Studios has yet to reveal the entirety of what the update entails. It will be streamed in several different locations, including the official Minecraft channels on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch as well as the Minecraft website. The presentation is already live on YouTube, so Minecraft fans looking to utilize that platform to watch should be able to set a reminder ahead of October 16. The stream will be viewable on phones, tablets, PCs, and certain gaming consoles.

Also revealed on the Minecraft Twitter account was the latest mob vote coming to this year's Minecraft Live. Thus far, only one potential mob has been revealed, but more will likely be coming ahead of Minecraft Live 2021. The new mob, the Glare, shows players which areas are dark enough for monsters to spawn in. This is particularly useful ahead of the release of Minecraft's Caves & Cliffs Part 2 update, which significantly alters light level requirements for mob spawning. Fans looking to participate in the upcoming Minecraft Live 2021 vote should keep an eye on Minecraft's official social channels to piece together what all could be coming to this month's biggest Minecraft livestream.
