In an interesting turn of events, one modder has decided to turn Minecraft into an impressive replica of Doom (2016). Minecraft has become one of the most creative places for players to try new building methods and mods, like a set of new Minecraft tools inspired by the steampunk genre. There are countless opportunities for players to create impressive builds and add new gameplay to the game.

Mod packs have become a popular way to add something new to the game. Instead of building and mining, mod packs can add a new layer of depth to the game and gives players more options to explore. Some mods allow players to never get hungry in survival mode, while one adds an entire weather element, tornados included. Other useful mods create gravestones for players in survival mode so if the player ends up losing to a Creeper or Enderman their items will be saved in a convenient box that never disappears, and even sports a waypoint on the map to help them find their way. One mod pack allows players to turn the game into a peaceful Minecraft farming experience, free of Creepers and other enemies.

In a recent article by Kotaku, a mod made by a fan named Sibogy was highlighted that turns Minecraft into Doom. The release trailer features different elements of the mod, including various levels to navigate and enemies for the player to face, along with the weapons they can use along the way. Instead of just adding different texture packs, Sibogy decided to add entirely new gameplay, which includes the addition of weapons to take down enemies while also picking up new armor and managing ammo. The mod can be installed from the "Doomed: Demons of the Nether" website. It is important to note that this mod only works on Minecraft's Java Edition.

See the original video on YouTube here.

Sibogy first announced they were working on this mod in December of 2020 and now, in 2022, they have fully released it for players to download. There are videos on their YouTube channel highlighting different aspects of the mod and what players can expect. There are also a few gameplay videos and streams where Sibogy demonstrates how they created the world. It is clear a lot of time and effort went into making this mod a perfect example of Minecraft meets Doom. It should be a fun way for players to experience Minecraft in a whole new light.

Minecraft mods are always a great way for players to expand their gameplay. There are many different options and a mod for anything that someone can imagine. Even when compared to the official Mojang updates, Minecraft mods are often considered more fun. The creativity of Minecraft players and modders will always find a way to keep fans of the game entertained and happy.
