Long-time Minecraft players may occasionally find themselves growing bored with the base game over time, and many turn to mods in order to help make the experience feel fresh again. One mod that's garnered some attention is based on the popular anime Demon Slayer, and adds a plethora of new elements to the Minecraft experience.

Much of Minecraft is based on player freedom and exploration. The game is home to hundreds of blocks and crafting items, allowing players to build and explore through multiple biomes and engage in combat with unique mobs, so it's unsurprising that Minecraft also has an extensive modding community that adds to and alters its existing library of in-game materials. Many available mods add new features and areas to the game as well, including elements borrowed from other games and shows. These mods can make Minecraft into something that feels new after countless hours of play.

Even official Minecraft updates have been providing more crossovers as of late. The How to Train Your Dragon and Ben 10 franchises were represented in Minecraft's two most recent DLC packs, which introduced players to characters and locations from each series. These packs also add unique features, such as taming and riding dragons or collecting and utilizing the DNA of alien species. Fans who are interested in bringing a bit of Demon Slayer-inspired content into their Minecraft world, however, will need to do so through modding.

What Minecraft's Demon Slayer Mod Does (& How To Find It)

The Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) mod can be easily found on CurseForge, which also lists information from the mod's creator to help players understand how to make the most of the mod's additions. It also links to a YouTube channel that documents changelogs and other helpful resources. Fans can even use the mod to make a Demon Slayer-themed multiplayer Minecraft server in order to create an entire world based on the anime. The mod does include some unique game commands, so players should read up in advance in order to ensure they know how to effectively operate the new features.

The mod provides a fun way to interface with elements of the anime series in a more interactive way by adding themed weapons, armors, food, and more into the game - though it's not quite a replacement for the upcoming Demon Slayer: The Video Game.  One addition is Muzan Blood ore, which enables players to become a demon. If they would rather play as a Slayer instead, they can do so by crafting a sun sword or simply killing a demon, which will drop collectible power packs. There are also three new biomes to explore and special advancement paths that allow users to gain in power as they play. Fans should find that they have plenty of opportunities to immerse themselves in the world of the Demon Slayer anime as they make their way through this unique Minecraft experience.
