One industrious Minecraft player has found a fun way to pass the time in-game, recreating the exercise game Dance Dance Revolution. This isn't the first time that a Minecraft player has built a popular game from the real world to pass the time inside their blocky reality. One player managed to build a chessboard in Minecraft using item frames as the spaces and items as the pieces.

Ever since its release, Minecraft has been used as a tool to express players' creativity just as much as a completionist game. Players have built massive structures and entire cities from the real world and from fictional worlds. But players have also used Minecraft's Redstone to create automatic farms, computers, and other impressive gadgets. Most of the time, these giant machines and creations don't have a true use in the game and are built just to show off to other players. Nevertheless, that doesn't detract from all the time, energy, and precision that was required to create these spectacles.

In this case, the latest impressive Minecraft build comes from Redditor MrMajo, who showed off a build that recreates the popular game Dance Dance Revolution. Using no command blocks, just lots of Redstone, MrMajo managed to create a working copy of the game that tracks whether players are able to match the beat. Players move forward, backward, and side-to-side in order to match the beat, which is displayed on several Redstone lamps in front of them. Other Redstone lamps also create an analog scoreboard for players to track their progress.

The vast power of Redstone is behind some of the most mind-blowing Minecraft projects. One player managed to build a working escalator in Minecraft, making it easier to traverse the blocky world with ease. However, in practice machines like this don't provide a ton of utility, due to the amount of resources they require and how clunky these machines can be. But having the ability to create such working machines and show them off is quite an accomplishment.

Minecraft is increasingly becoming a social game as well, with players joining multiplayer servers and communicating with friends. Having a fun game like Dance Dance Revolution that multiple players can enjoy together is a fun project. Even though players might not break a sweat in the same way that they would playing the real-life version of Dance Dance Revolution, they can still get a virtual workout building this in-game contraption, even before they start playing.
