Through great creativity and an abundance of Redstone, a skilled Minecraft player has built a set of automatic stairs that instantly assemble for the user. The survival sandbox title gives players a variety of different resources to use, allowing them to make their most intricate imaginings a reality. While clever Minecraft garden decorations and designs let players show off great attention to detail, the amazing resource Redstone allows for endlessly complex moving builds.

Minecraft features all manner of different blocks to choose from, ranging from sand to wood to stone. These blocks give texture to the game's randomly-generated sandbox world, while also letting players give texture to their various builds. However, Redstone and its associated blocks add an entirely new degree of intricacy to Minecraft players' potential projects. Redstone acts as an electric current that can be activated and deactivated, letting players program different blocks to do different things. Pistons, lights, doors, and more can be connected to a Redstone current, allowing for builds such as interactive Minecraft Redstone mazes or statues that light up at the flip of a switch.

Minecraft architect and Reddit user horsemcraft has used Redstone to create an ingenious set of automatic stairs. A helpful video shows off how the player built the creative contraption, allowing others to make automatic steps of their own. Sticky pistons on each side of a narrow gap are connected to Redstone, and then the dust is hooked up to a row of tripwires. Stairs are attached to the pistons so that when a player walks over a tripwire the pistons push a set of stairs in front of them. The placement of each piece means that the stairs are pushed into the gap the second the player walks towards it, letting them effortlessly and stylishly climb up to the top platform.

While some Minecraft players aim for complexity, others aim for sheer scale and detail when working on a build. While horsemcraft's automatic stairs are a fascinating Redstone project, another Minecraft player's enormous red panda sculpture shows off an admirable dedication to a breathtaking end goal. The truly massive sculpture depicts a red panda walking across a leafy branch, with great detail given to the cuddly creature's fur and features. The project's creator reportedly used editing tools such as Voxelsniper and WorldEdit while forming the adorable art, but many blocks were also hand-placed and the build apparently took a huge amount of time to finish.

Thanks to the awesome power of Redstone, horsemcraft is able to practically glide through the air on a set of automatic stairs. The handy tutorial video will also allow other gamers to borrow their work, which could lead to even more impressive creations down the line. Fitting perfectly in a high-tech house or acting as a secret entrance, horsemcraft's automatic steps display ingenuity and a deep understanding of Redstone programming.
