A Minecraft fan has brought a slice of the game to life by creating a slightly unsettling painting project in their apartment. Real-life Minecraft decorations have almost become a separate form of art thanks to members of the game’s community regularly coming up with new and exciting ideas.

Equipped with an inventive mind, one Minecraft player created a stylish neon sword light. But while the creation followed the item’s blocky structure, it looked like more of an outline of the sword made out of a neon wire rather than the actual in-game weapon. Still, the result turned out to be quite impressive and easily recognizable. As revealed by the player, they first modeled the nightlight digitally before 3D-printing the frame and attaching the neon to it. Other Minecraft players, meanwhile, have applied the game's aesthetic to furniture and other aspects of home decor.

Redditor hhornett has painted their wardrobe door to match the texture of Minecraft’s spruce door in an attempt to bring the famous crafting game to life. According to the player, this handmade Minecraft project was time-consuming, but ultimately worth the effort. The chosen design works perfectly for the door’s solid surface and blends nicely with the room’s interior. Another option would be a dark oak door texture, but it probably would look out of place in such an environment. Reddit users have responded with plenty of praise, appreciating the idea of mixing up regular real-life interiors with Minecraft’s simplistic textures. Some Redditors even got inspired by hhornett’s display of creativity, expressing willingness to create something similar.

Minecraft Door Painting Blends Game's Blocky World With Home Decor

Despite being an uncanny painting project, hhornett’s real-life Minecraft door really ties the room together. Something similar was performed by another dedicated fan who created a homemade Minecraft double chest as an adorable present for their son. While it wasn’t a spitting image of the game’s item, the chest turned out to be a recognizable decoration, keeping the signature design and a similar shape.

The strangely unsettling spruce door, which looks as if it’s been taken directly out of Minecraft, serves as a remarkable example of DIY decor. With a bit of additional effort, projects like that can be quite elegant. It’s fairly common for Minecraft fans to incorporate in-game items in their everyday lives by overcrowding sofas with Creeper pillows, but in comparison to that, hhornett’s piece of work looks far more unique and creative.
