A crafty player has recreated Beat Saber in Minecraftwith the project still playable in virtual reality. Mojang's Minecraft, a sandbox game in which players explore randomly generated worlds and collect resources to survive and thrive, has enjoyed constant popularity since it released in 2009. Beat Saber is a virtual reality rhythm game, developed by Beat Games, in which players use colorful swords to cut flying blocks to the beat of music.

Minecraft promotes creation and creativity, giving players the opportunity to create massive and intricate works of in-game art. This often extends to crossover works, with gamers recreating locations from other video games or even remaking entire games within the Minecraft engine. Recently two players created a fully playable version of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening within Minecraftcomplete with enemies and non-player characters. An equally impressive Minecraft recreation was also recently revealed, with one player creating the entirety of Pokémon Platinum's Sinnoh region.
