The Million Dollar Listing New York star Ryan Serhant now has his own home reno show, Million Dollar Listing: Ryan's Renovation, which premieres tonight on Bravo, and some people already have issues with his home renovation. He joined MDLNY season one in 2012, alongside former webpreneur Fredrik Eklund and Michael Lorber. Since then, many realtors have come and gone. Ryan has remained and is a beloved cast member. Fans have seen him evolve from a single guy working to grow his realtor reputation in New York City to a SERHANT brokerage owner. He's also gotten married and started a family.

MDLNY season nine premiered last month. It had been almost two years since the previous season. Bravo needed to put filming season nine on hold for several months as the COVID-19 lockdown was put into place. Ryan and his castmates Steve Gold, Tyler Whitman, Kirsten Jordan, and Fredrik were unable to show homes to potential buyers. Once the lockdown restrictions began to loosen up, the MDLNY team was able to get back to work doing what they love.

In a sneak peek exclusive to People, the celebrity broker and his wife Emilia Bechrakis are shown working together to turn their Brooklyn townhome into their dream home. In the four-episode special, Ryan, who has worked closely with Kirsten Jordan, is completely gutting his newly purchased $7.6 million Brownstone townhouse. His goal is to make it the ideal home for his family of three. In the preview, Ryan and Emilia deal with a number of hiccups along the way, while trying to make the home suitable for their extended Greek family. In the renovation, they are including an elevator and an in-law suite. They are also changing the ceilings. Due to delays related to the COVID-19, pandemic, the renovation budget went from $1.5 million to $2.6 million.

After the teaser aired, viewers thought that successful real estate broker Ryan's new reno show was a bit over the top. Knowing the original price of the home, plus the $2 million renovation budget, viewers are finding Ryan and Emilia's spending to be excessive. While fans may think the show is over the top, they do enjoy the drama. In a clip, Ryan is shown fighting with Emilia's family about rooms in the home. He also clashes with his mother. See Ryan and his family below:

Million Dollar Listing: Ryan's Renovation airs tonight, right after a new episode of Million Dollar Listing New York. Ryan and Emilia are doing their best to keep themselves and their families happy when making decisions about their Brownstone. Some may call them over the top, but they are just creating the best home for their family. Plus, they can definitely afford the reno.
