Millie Bobby Brown says she's never seen a Marvel, DC, or Harry Potter film. Brown began acting in 2013 with a two episode stint on Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as a young Alice. The next year, Brown had a main role on the BBC show Intruders and several guest appearances on shows like Grey's Anatomy, NCIS, and Modern Family. Brown rose to prominence with her role on Netflix's Stranger Things in 2016. Her character, Eleven, became an instant phenomenon, like the show itself.

The cast of Stranger Things is currently hard at work on the series' long delayed season 4 which will likely air sometime in 2022. Brown has also starred in several blockbusters, including two of Legendary's MonsterVerse films, Godzilla: King of the Monsters and the recently released Godzilla vs. Kong. Brown teamed up with Netflix again for the Sherlock Holmes spinoff Enola Holmes, but there are a couple franchises she hasn't been a part of, both as an actress and as a viewer.

Brown told MTV News she has never seen a Marvel, DC, or a Harry Potter film, much to her friends' consternation. The actress goes on to say she prefers romances like The Notebook as opposed to the blockbuster franchises she's at least tangentially connected to. Brown already feels a part of that world in some ways, and when she has down time, prefers "stuff that's real."

So I haven't watched a Marvel film, ever, and I've never watched a DC film. News, I know. It's not (my thing) but I'm open to it. I've just never been like 'Oh I'm going to put on this film.' I'm more into like The Notebook, let's put on some romance films. I'm not crazy on that because I think I'm in it. I'm doing that stuff already, I want to see stuff that's real. I've never watched Harry Potter. I have so many friends that just look at me and they're like 'How?' and I'm like 'I don't know.'

It may come as a bit of a surprise that Brown hasn't seen any of these films. Hailing from the UK, it almost seems like a given she would've seen at least one Harry Potter film at some point in time, but that's just not the case. The same could be said for both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe movies that have dominated the blockbuster landscape in the last several years, especially because Brown has been rumored to be attached to the MCU at several points during her career, specifically in upcoming film Eternals.

The actor also auditioned for Game of Thrones, another blockbuster franchise, this one on television. Brown almost quit acting after not getting the role, but went on to land Stranger Things and to become one of the youngest actresses in a while to achieve the success she has. Although Millie Bobby Brown's resumé is slimmer than some, the actress has made a huge impact in very little time. It's also safe to say that even though she hasn't seen any of the aforementioned franchises, Brown could make an appearance in one at some point in the future.
