Millie Bobby Brown delivered a striking performance as Eleven, the girl with the scary telekinetic gifts on the Netflix sci-fi series Stranger Things. It isn't taking long for the 12-year-old actress to build on her success by making the jump from the small-screen to the big-screen, landing a role in the upcoming Godzilla: King of Monsters.

The Godzilla sequel won't hit screens until 2019, but Brown sounds like she's more-than-ready to begin filming. Sunday night was big for the young actor with Stranger Things picking up a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble In a Drama Series. On top of that, she got to do the red carpet and talk about her forthcoming debut movie project.

Brown joined her Stranger Things cast mates at Sunday night's SAG Awards and did the usual press gauntlet. One of the questions touched on her involvement with Godzilla 2 and Brown was more than happy to express her excitement about diving into Warner Bros.' Monsterverse under the direction of Krampus helmer Michael Dougherty, as first reported by ET:

"I just had a really incredible connection with the director. I had a great meeting with him and you know, I just really love him.

"It's my first movie. I'm really excited and that's really all I can say, but it's going to be great!"

Eleven Stranger Things

King of Monsters has been announced as part of an extended universe, dubbed the Monsterverse, that includes King Kong. Speaking of Kong, he will be seen terrorizing Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson, and battling a whole array of bizarre prehistoric creatures, when Kong: Skull Island hits theaters on March 10, 2017. Kong and Godzilla will go at it in Godzilla vs. King Kong which is set for release in 2020.

Brown won't just have Godzilla: King of Monsters on her plate in coming years, but is also set to return to Stranger Things for the second season. How the character of Eleven evolves in season 2 will be one of the series' many intriguing questions. While it's uncertain whether or not Eleven is the real monster after all, she'll probably at least be in a bad mood after hiding out in the woods eating nothing but the Eggos Hopper left for her in the box.

As talented as Brown is she definitely will have more interesting screen projects coming her way in the future. For now, she is getting ready to tackle Godzilla, a monster even more terrifying than the Demogorgon.

Stranger Things season 2 is expected on Netflix this year.
