Miles Teller will replace Armie Hammer in the Paramount+ series, The Offer. The ten-episode limited series will follow the making of the 1972 gangster crime classic, The Godfather, which was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starred Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Robert Duvall, and Diane Keaton. The film revolved around the Corleone family and the transfer of power, along with the importance of family. The film is considered one of the best films ever made in history and received a myriad of accolades including the Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Actor for Brando, which he famously refused.

Recently, it has been reported that Armie Hammer would star as the producer of The Godfather, Al Ruddy, before dropping out due to allegations of sexual assault and misconduct. Hammer recently came under fire after leaked messages allegedly accusing him of rape and also having a cannibalism fetish. The stories resulted in Hammer stepping down or being dropped from multiple projects in early production, including Shotgun Wedding with Jennifer Lopez, the Watergate series Gaslit for Starz, where he is being replaced by Dan Stevens, and the Broadway play, The Minutes. Hammer is currently being investigated by the LAPD over the matters and has continued to deny the allegations.

Teller will also be an executive producer of The Offer, which already has a slew of talent behind the camera, including Nikki Toscano as showrunner and Michael Tolkin joining her as co-writer and executive producer. Dexter Fletcher, whom many know as the director of Rocketman, and the uncredited director of Bohemian Rhapsody, will also executive produce as well as direct a number of episodes for the series. The Offer is quickly becoming a highly anticipated show, and for many fans of The Godfather trilogy, it will be interesting to see how everything all started and what went on behind the scenes. More information about the show is sure to come in the approaching months, but Teller is a wonderful addition to the Paramount+ series and it will be exciting to see what he brings to the role of The Godfather producer, Al Ruddy.
