Venom has claimed a new victim in Marvel's upcoming Dark Ages: Miles Morales! Miles has not had very many different suits in comics yet, though he received numerous alternates in the game, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. He also had his Into the Spider-Verse alternate that fans are very familiar with. Now, Miles is getting Venomized.

Marvel's Dark Ages asks the question, "Who were you when the lights went out?" Now, many iconic Marvel heroes are getting new looks as they rise to the challenge they will be facing. This six-issue limited series is being written by Tom Taylor with art by Iban Coello and promotional art by Ryan Stegman. Taylor and Coello both have experience with Spider-Man and Venom so Miles should definitely be in pretty good hands.

In additional released images of Marvel characters, Spider-Man and Iron Man have both been given suits with armor involved. Miles is foregoing the armor and going for a different form of protection: a symbiote. This isn't the first time that Miles has been taken over by a symbiote, but this could be his first foray with the Venom symbiote. His look is incredibly different from his previous experience with a symbiote. This visual change in Miles is definitely his creepiest.

This September, New York Times best-selling writer Tom Taylor (X-MEN: RED, ALL-NEW WOLVERINE) will team up with Marvel's Stormbreaker artist Iban Coello (VENOM, BLACK KNIGHT: CURSE OF THE EBONY BLADE) for a thrilling new vision of the Marvel Universe in DARK AGES. Last week, a series of mysterious teasers gave fans their first glimpse at what becomes of Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Miles Morales after the world descends into darkness. Now, see more of what's in store when the lights go out forever in three new teasers that include transformations for Apocalypse and Vision as well as your first look at a strange new threat...

Miles' first possession by a symbiote was completed by Carnage in Marvel's Absolute Carnage event. While this isn't Miles's first symbiote bonding, this could be the first that he actually has control over - as well as the first to truly give him a somewhat new style of suit. When he was possessed by Carnage, he grew four extra arms, giving him a total of eight limbs like a spider. However, his standard suit - black with the red "V" enclosing red web lines and the iconic spider symbol - remained the same. This new possession gives him eight new arachnid appendages, but in a completely different way. The predominant color of Miles Morales' former Spider-Man suit is still black with red accents. The thin red webs have been removed, though the red spider symbol remains in a revamped form. Stemming from what appears to be a spider's body are eight sharply curved legs that create a crown around his head. These altered spider legs give Miles a deadly look that he has never really had before.

The rest of the suit is the same, complete with his hands and feet having red tips and his eyes being bordered with a thin red trim. The only other difference is that Miles' Morales face has taken on that of a Venomized version of himself. When the lights go out, this hero finds himself partnering up with a symbiote. It will be interesting to see if this Venomization provides new or heightened abilities, as a package deal. Furthermore, Venom has teetered between being good and bad, while symbiotes are known to exaggerate the characteristics of the wearer, simultaneously adding higher aggression levels. Having this partnership may supercharge Miles' abilities, but what cost will it come at? Will Miles Morales remain a hero, or will his second possession by Venom in Marvel's Dark Ages force him over to the dark side come September?
