Since picking up the mantle of Spider-Man after Peter Parker of the Ultimate Universe was killed by the Green Goblin, Miles Morales has time and again proved worthy of carrying the heroic title, but in this piece of amazing fan art, Miles takes on a villainous tone as the Prowler. Miles Morales’ Spider-Man has reached peak popularity in recent years after appearing in multiple forms of media including his own comic series, two separate PlayStation video games, and the film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse while also starring in the upcoming sequel to the animated film as well. Now, Miles is taking on an all new form in the realm of impressive fan art, one that channels the villainous side of the otherwise friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Miles Morales made his first appearance in Ultimate Fallout #4 written by Brian Michael Bendis, Jonathan Hickman, and Nick Spencer with art by Sara Pichelli, Salvador Larroca, and Clayton Crain. Miles was first spotted as Spider-Man soon after Peter Parker’s death, a title he made his own through the remaining saga of Ultimate Marvel and into his inclusion on Earth-616. Throughout his time as Spider-Man, Miles had to go up against a number of villains, with one of the most challenging being the Prowler who, in the Ultimate Universe, was Miles’ own uncle Aaron Davis. Now, in an all new piece of fan art, Miles is following in his uncle’s villainous footsteps.

In a Tweet posted by the comic artist Spencer Blair under the Twitter handle Taku, the artist posted an original piece depicting Miles Morales dressed as the Prowler with the character’s own spin on the costume. The ‘spider’ emblem is still present, only twisted into a more sinister form with the entire purple and black outfit overall unsettling, instilling fear into onlookers instead of Miles’ usually hopeful look. The post gives fans a front and back look at the costume, allowing them to imagine the villainous suit in action worn by this seemingly corrupted Spider-Man.

While Spencer Blair created this piece of artwork of Miles Morales as an alternate version of the Prowler as a fan, Blair isn’t one’s average comic enthusiast. In fact, the artist is a comic book creator, being the creative mind behind the webcomic K9 which is a modern comic with classic horror inspirations full of Werewolves, Vampires, and other supernatural entities. Blair’s original work falls under horror rather than the superhero genre, though creating fan-made Spider-Man artwork and comic panels is an apparent passion for the artist.

Spencer Blair has done a number of Spider-Man artwork and comic panels drawn in the artist's unique style that fans can see in the latest piece of Spider-Man art with this Miles/Prowler mashup character. Blair used the horror elements they are so familiar with from their own original comic series K9 in this piece of fan art, giving Miles Morales a villainous tone carried by the original Prowler with a corrupted Spider-Man twist.
