Warning! Spoilers for What If...? Miles Morales #2 by Marvel Comics

In a brand new What If...? storyline from Marvel Comics, Miles Morales becomes Wolverine, and for those worried his turn as the mutant would water down the original version's violent tendencies, that's not the case. In a new preview of What If...? Miles Morales ...Became Wolverine, the hero becomes one of the most wanted men in the universe as he's become a killing machine with a zest for death.

Miles Morales is a product of Marvel's Multiverse, as his version of Spider-Man first appeared in the Ultimate Universe before coming to the main Marvel Earth-616 reality. However, in a new series, Marvel Comics imagines what would have happened if Moraleswentg down a different path. In issue one, Morales became the new Captain America. In a new look at the second issue of What If...? Miles Morales, Miles becomes a darker hero, as he gets his own claws as the universe's Wolverine.

In a brand new preview of What If...? Miles Morales ...Became Wolverine (H/T CBR) by John Ridley, Farid Karami, Chris Sotomayor, and VC's Cory Petit, readers are taken to Wisconsin, where Sentinels are hunting Miles Morales. The giant mutant-hunting machines tell Miles' Wolverine to surrender, as he's wanted for the death of Senator Drexel Walsh. However, Wolverine doesn't relent and rips the Sentinels to shred with his claws. Then, in a monologue, Wolverine admits he wanted to be left alone for decades, but now, the Sentinels won't stop hunting him - and he won't stop hating them.

The preview focuses on the SHIELD agents hunting Wolverine, as Director Colcord calls him a monster and isn't as young and innocent as he appears. He sends Agent J after him as he wonders how he's supposed to kill Morales. It's revealed Wolverine is blamed for the brutal murder of Senator Walsh's entire family. Agent J is later seen approaching Miles Morales as he tells him to turn around, saying he doesn't care if he looks like a child. Wolverine responds by unsheathing his claws and informing him he's no child.

SHIELD might be after Wolverine, but Miles clearly isn't afraid to get his hands bloody to accomplish his goals and get them off his trail. Readers will see Marvel's new Wolverine from across the Multiverse in action when What If...? Miles Morales ...Became Wolverine from Marvel Comics comes to comic book shops and online retailers on Wednesday.
