Warning! Spoilers for Heroes Reborn: Young Squadron #1 below!

In a Marvel Universe where the Avengers cease to exist and almost everything and everyone readers are familiar with has changed, Miles Morales will suit up as the new Falcon. In a new preview for Heroes Reborn: Young Squadron #1, Miles will be part of a teenage superteam including Kamala Khan's Girl Power and Sam Alexander's Kid Spectrum. With the changes, he will become the new Falcon and the sidekick of Nighthawk.

Marvel's next big event will feature a massive change in reality. Heroes Reborn will feature a Marvel Universe that's unrecognizable. The Avengers never formed, as Thor has become a hard-drinking Athiest with a hatred of hammers, Captain America wasn't unfrozen at the same time, and Black Widow took a more villainous path alongside Baron Zemo. With the Avengers never banding together, the Squadron Supreme has become the new greatest heroes of Earth - which is notable as the characters were originally designed to be direct pastiches of DC characters. Hyperion (Superman), Power Princess (Wonder Woman), and Doctor Spectrum (Green Lantern) are pretty obvious takes on the greatest heroes of the DC Universe. As this all goes on, only Blade will know the truth about the previous Earth and will be left trying to unravel what's happened.

Heroes Reborn: Young Squadron #1 by Jim Zub, Steven Cummings, and Erick Arciniega previously revealed in previews that Miles, Sam, and Kamala will be pairing up with some of the greatest heroes in the galaxy, in Nighthawk, Doctor Spectrum, and Power Princess, respectively. Miles' Falcon look was revealed earlier this year, but the new preview gives readers a chance to see his design in action. On the first page, Kamala takes down criminals as Power Princess floats down towards her.

Next up the young heroes team up to fight a villain who can control giant rats. Falcon can be seen grabbing onto another villain and in the ensuing team shot.

Lastly, Falcon and the Young Squadron take on a group of villains, including one that has a similar ball and chain to Crusher Creel.

Young Squadron

The Young Squadron will give the young heroes notably different personas, with Miles Morales' Falcon being the biggest change from his previous ensemble. While it's going to be fun to see Miles, Sam, and Kamala in action, Marvel revealed Sam Wilson's death at the hands of Green Goblin is going to be incredibly impactful for his former leader Nighthawk. Can Miles Morales be his new Batman to his Robin? There's also the matter of Deadpool, who will be investigating the teen superteam, and what he finds might be very dark. Readers will find out more when Heroes Reborn: Young Squadron #1 comes to comic shops on May 26.
