Almost two months after his release from prison, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Sorrentino served eight-months for tax evasion and was released in September of this year.

Despite the man Sorrentino was when we met him during the first season of Jersey Shore, fans have certainly enjoyed watching him transform in recent years. He has gone from a combative substance abuser to a man who volunteers his time helping others work on their sobriety. It was certainly entertaining for a while, watching as Sorrentino spiraled out of control. He was always good for stirring the pot and starting arguments amongst his roommates, but things got tough to watch when it became clear he was battling with some inner demons. Fortunately, his relationship with then-girlfriend Lauren Pesce was what saved him. Now, Sorrentino is out of prison, more than two years sober, and one year into his loving marriage with Lauren and he's not looking back.

Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Situation celebrated their one year wedding anniversary with lunch out at The Butcher's Block in New Jersey, followed by dinner out at Anjelica's Restaurant. Sorrentino shared photos of their date night dinner, tagging his bride and Anjelica's on Instagram with the caption "Living My Blessed Life." The couple shared a meal Big Daddy Sitch would approve of, complete with platters of pasta, veal, and plenty of desserts. Mrs. Sorrentino shared the sentiment on her Instagram Story. Last season on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, fans watched Sorrentino go through his trial and ultimately get sentenced to eight months for tax evasion. The couple spent a night out at Butcher's Block just two weeks after Sorrentino was released from prison for their first date night post-prison. That finally came to a conclusion on September 12. The newlyweds celebrated Sorrentino's release with a meal fit for a king that included a massive, raw steak. Apparently, the food was so good that the couple returned to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

Now that Sorrentino is sober, out of prison, and happily married, it seems he can only go up from here. Jersey Shore fans and Sorrentino supporters can't wait to see what 2020 brings for the happy couple. Fans are hoping that there will be some baby Situations running around soon.
