Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming Power Rangers reunion, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always 30th Anniversary Special. The upcoming special will be a scripted event celebrating the enduring legacy of the first installment of the now iconic Power Rangers franchise. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was a television show that premiered on Fox Kids and was adapted from the Japanese series Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger. The series chronicled the adventures of the six Power Rangers and quickly became one of the most far-reaching pop culture sensations of the 1990s.

Now, Netflix's new trailer for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always 30th Anniversary Special shows the return of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The trailer teases even more adventures from the original 1993 cast and guest actors as they suit up in Angel Grove for the first time in 30 years. Fans also get a glimpse at the behind-the-scenes of filming the special in the trailer, including the cast members' off-screen chemistry and evident excitement to inhabit their past beloved roles.

Everything We Know About The Special

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Once & Always 30th Anniversary Special cast adults

The 30th-anniversary special of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will be exclusively released on Netflix. The streaming service is also the sole U.S. home of all three seasons of the original series. While the platform and collaborators have yet to announce the plot of the scripted special, they have teased that it will see the Rangers prepare to face a familiar threat from their past.

The cast of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always 30th Anniversary Special will include the original blue Ranger, David Yost, who left the series in 1996 after filming over 200 episodes. Walter Emanuel Jones, the original black Ranger, joins Yost. The two co-stars have not hidden their excitement over working together again after first auditioning and launching the Power Rangers franchise alongside one another over three decades ago. Catherine Sutherland, the second Pink Ranger, Karan Ashley, the second Yellow Ranger, Johnny Yong Bosch, the second Black Ranger, and Steve Cardenas, the second Red Ranger, will all be featured in the anniversary special.

Along with the six Power Rangers, the cast will include two voice actors from the franchise, Barbara Goodson and Richard Horvitz, who portrayed key villain Rita Repulsa and the self-aware robotic assistant to the Rangers Alpha 5, respectively. There will also be a new addition to the core group of characters, with Charlie Kersh playing Minh, the daughter of the original yellow Ranger, Trini, originally played by the late Thuy Trang. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always 30th Anniversary Special will arrive on Netflix on April 19th, 2023.
