Terminator actor Michael Biehn reprises his role as Kyle Reese for a new viral video asking viewers to stay at home during the coronavirus crisis. In 1984's The Terminator, Michael Biehn starred as Kyle Reese, the only defender of Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) against the cybernetic organism (Arnold Schwarzenegger) sent to murder her. The Terminator is regarded as one of the greatest science fiction horror movies ever made, and the role has stood as Biehn's most iconic for over 35 years.

In a video posted to Twitter, Biehn paraphrases one of Kyle Reese's legendary speeches, comparing the COVID-19 virus to the Cyberdine Systems T-800 infiltrator unit. In the 30 second clip, he describes the virus as something that "can't be bargained with, can't be reasoned with," saying "it absolutely will not stop... Until we stay at home!" Indeed, the only way to defeat coronavirus is to take it seriously and stay at home unless it's absolutely necessary.

As of this writing, there are nearly 500,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the United States, with over 18,000 fatalities due to the virus. With scattershot testing resulting in many being unable to receive proper testing, the actual number is likely significantly higher than these figures suggest. The video is fun and cheeky, but the message is absolutely serious. If possible, stay at home. If you have to go out, wear a mask and practice social distancing. With hospitals filled to capacity treating coronavirus patients, global citizens have a moral imperative to do everything possible to flatten the curve and reduce the spread of this deadly virus.
