Finding every collectible in Ghavoran is a challenging endeavor in Metroid Dread. The vast number of pathways and areas to explore make it even more challenging to acquire every Missile Tank, Energy Tank, and Power Bomb tank without at least consulting the Metroid Dread game map, but, even then, there aren't many clear indicators as to where everything is located. Additionally, Ghavoran is where Samus will need to defeat Golzuna in order to receive the Cross Bomb ability, one of the many abilities needed to retrieve every collectible in the area.

Missile Tanks, Energy Tanks, and Power Bomb Tanks are all critical components to Samus' loadout in Metroid Dread. They increase the number of missiles and power bombs that she can use, as well as her overall energy. Like the heart containers in The Legend of Zelda, the Energy Tanks in Metroid Dread are all part of a set. Players will need to collect four Energy Tanks parts to increase Samus' Energy Tank.

Ghavoran is one of the further points in Metroid Dread, so players should be prepared to face a number of challenging enemies. Additionally, the fight against Golzuna is split across four phases. Most of the fight against Golzuna will require Samus to keep some distance between herself and the giant parasite. Using missiles and charged shots will help defeat this Metroid Dread boss quickly. Samus can also use the Screw Attack in the final phase to damage both herself and Golzuna. After Golzuna has been defeated, players can proceed to collect every item in Ghavoran.

Ghavoran Collectible Item Locations in Metroid Dread

Metroid Dread's Ghavoran location is a subterranean forest

Collecting everything may be a challenge best saved until after beating Metroid Dread because finding every Missile, Energy, and Power Bomb Tank in Ghavoran is impossible to achieve without the Grappling Beam, Pulse Radar, Cross Bomb, Space Jump, and Speed Boost abilities. Additionally, Ghavoran is a complex area to fully navigate, so players should be prepared to take some time when searching for every item. There are multiple Energy and Missile tanks in this area of Metroid Dread, but only one Power Bomb and Missile Tank+ location.

These are the locations of every Missile Tank, Energy Tank, and Power Bomb Tank in Metroid Dread throughout Ghavoran:

  • Missile Tank: Located in the southeast part of the Network Station in the large room with the flying enemy. Samus must use the Grapple Beam to reach it.
  • Energy Tank: Located in the upper-right Metroid Dread EMMI encounter Zone exit. Samus must destroy the Enki with an Ice Missile to collect it.
  • Missile Tank: Located left of the easternmost Save Station, there’s a tall shaft that can only be reached with the Screw Attack. On the left wall, there’s a small chute that players can Morph Ball into and slide down to get the Missile Tank.
  • Missile Tank: Located in the room right of the Golzuna boss. Samus must use the Pulse Rader to reveal hidden blocks in the bottom-right corner of the room.
  • Energy Tank: Located in the tall room near the right-most Save Station. Samus must use Speed Boost, then duck to save power and jump to reach the ceiling in the center of the chamber.
  • Missile Tank: Located up and to the right of the Pulse Radar Item Cube room. Samus should travel up the Metroid Dread Morph Ball vents and break the hidden block at the top to reach the Missile Tank pathway.
  • Missile Tank: Located directly above the Green Teleportal. Samus will be unable to get it the first time due to Pitfall Blocks. Players will need to return once she has the Cross Bomb to launch Samus across the pitfalls and reach the tank.
  • Energy Tank: Located left of the center Save Station, and about adjacent with the Map Station on the map. In the very tall, large chamber in the center of Ghavoran, there is a Grapple Beam Block. After acquiring the Space Jump ability, Samus can reach the platform above, then drop down, and grab the Grapple Beam Block while falling to give herself enough time on the crumbling mushroom platform to break it. Then, she should shoot a missile at the block in the nook. Like accessing energy parts in Ferenia, this is one of the harder locations to reach in Metroid Dread.
  • Missile Tank: Located in the large room with the alien, left of the Elun Tram Exit. It’s on the upper-left wall blocked by Speed Boost Blocks. From the Grapple Beam door, Samus should activate the Grapple Beam ability in the Elun Tram room from the furthest the ability can reach. Then, she can use the Speed Boost and Space Jump abilities while fully charged to break through the blocks on the far side.
  • Missile Tank: Located in the room to the right of the Burenia Elevator Exit. It's in the water by the corner near the left wall. Samus should use a missile to break the block, and use Space Jump to reach the tank.
  • Missile Tank: Located in the room to the left of the Burenia Elevator Exit. The room can access it through the Plasma Beam Covered Door. This Missile Tank can be reached by either using the Grapple Beam or Space Jump after receiving this latter ability later in Metroid Dread.
  • Power Bomb Tank: Located at the top of the huge central shaft, connected to the center Save Station. Samus should use Space Jump to reach the very top of the section with diagonal walls. This pathway leads to the Power Bomb Tank.
  • Missile Tank+: Located in the vents under the Network Station. Players can return to the area in which Samus lowered the elevator-shaped room, and climb back up. This tank will also appear on the map. This area can be reached easily after Samus unlocks the Space Jump ability.
  • Missile Tank: Located directly beneath the Green Teleportal. Samus should enter the room to the right of the Power Bomb Block and use Storm Missile to break the green crate next to the teleportal.
  • Missile Tank: Located beneath the Map Station on the map. Samus can take the left door in the Map Station, and go down to the bottom floor. This Missile Tank requires the Cross Bomb to blast past the Pitfall Blocks.
