Nintendo has announced that the Metroid Dread amiibo 2-pack has been delayed in the UK and Europe and will now ship in November. Two unique amiibo figures will be released alongside Metroid Dread, with one based on Samus' new look in the Nintendo Switch game and the other based on the E.M.M.I robots that she will face on planet ZDR. The Samus figure can heal Samus once per day in Metroid Dread, while the E.M.M.I figure can restock her missile supply.

It seems that customers in the UK and Europe won't be able to benefit from these power-ups at launch, however. An official Nintendo of Europe tweet shared that the amiibo bundle containing both figures has been delayed to November 5 in the regions. This won't affect the actual timing of the game's release, as Metroid Dread is still scheduled to launch on October 8 as planned. These amiibo cannot be bought separately and can only be acquired together.

This isn't the first time that amiibo for first-party Nintendo games have been pushed back this year, as Zelda: Skyward Sword HD's amiibo were delayed, with only a few being initially shipped as planned. There have been amiibo shortages and delays since the very beginning of the figure line, and Nintendo's occasional shipping issues have persisted since 2014. It's a shame that some Metroid Dread players won't get the amiibo figures at launch, as legitimate amiibo customers tend to be some of the staunchest fans.
