Ever since making his big-screen debut in the 1997 crime thriller One Eight Seven, popular Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man (aka Clifford Smith) has appeared in roughly 50 feature films and more than a dozen television shows. He can currently be seen in Netflix's Vampires Vs The Bronx as well as the Starz original series Power Book II: Ghost.

The worst movie Method Man has appeared in thus far, as per IMDb, is the spoof movie, Meet the Spartans. The lampoon of Zack Snyder's 300 currently ranks #22 on IMDb's Bottom 100 Movies Ever Made to go along with its paltry 9/100 Metascore.

Meth plays the "Persian Emissary" in the film, who follows Leonidas (Sean Maguire) and his men on a bumbling quest to defeat everyone from Rocky Balboa to Ghost Rider (one of Meth's rapping alter egos is named Johnny Blaze).

Co-directed by and starring James Franco, Future World is a star-studded sci-fi spectacle that was shredded by critics and general filmgoers alike. The post-apocalyptic tale follows a young boy named Prince (Jeff Wahlberg) in search of a remedy for his ill mother, Queen (Lucy Liu).

Meth plays a character called Tattooed Faced, a criminal cohort of the power-starved Warlord (Franco). In addition to its low IMDb rating, the film, unfortunately, holds a 10/100 Metascore and 0% Rotten Tomatoes rating.

Method Man 2

Just prior to landing a guest-starring role on HBO's hit prison drama Oz, Meth briefly appeared in Val Lik's 2000 urban drama, Boriqua's Bond. The film stars Frankie Negron as Tommy, a Latino in the Bronx who befriends a new white resident named Allen (Lik).

When Allen gets bullied in the neighborhood, Tommy takes it upon himself to protect the kid from further harassment. However, things take a turn for the worst when a dirty cop makes their life a living hell after Allen's mother rejects his sexual advances.

Worst: The Heart Specialist (2006) 4.4

Although it's one of his lowest-rated movies to date, Method Man plays against type in Dennis Cooper's dramatic rom-com, The Heart Specialist. Instead of a crooked cop or criminal, he plays Lorenzo, the happy-go-lucky potential romantic interest of Nurse Donna Jackson (Zoe Saldana).

The film centers on Dr. Ray Howard (Brian White), a philandering doctor who is rehabilitated by Dr. Zachary (Wood Harris) upon relocating to Florida to work at a new hospital.

Currently one of the trendiest films streaming on Netflix, Pierre Morel's Peppermint is a hyper-violent revenge tale starring Jennifer Garner as Riley North, a woman hell-bent on getting back at those who brutally killed her husband and child, five years prior.

Jonathan Levine's The Wackness is a celebration of the 90s-era of boom-bap hip-hop, in which Method Man is cast as a jovial Jamaican weed dealer named Percy. In one scene, Meth appears while one of his own rap songs plays in the background.
