Mercedes-Benz offers a suite of vehicle care and maintenance services dedicated to helping drivers get the best out of their electric or gasoline models. Although new cars are designed to efficiently handle the rigors of daily driving, they will need regular upkeep. Unfortunately, vehicle owners often delay bringing in their cars to be checked. That's why automakers include maintenance packages with routine vehicle checks. Interestingly, some manufacturers even extend this service to buyers of certified used cars, as seen in the case of Volvo.

It makes sense for customers to leverage Mercedes-Benz’s vehicle care packages, given that the automaker uses original parts to service its products. This is intended to sustain the car’s performance. The company has various categories of vehicle maintenance services, allowing customers to opt for the one that best suits their needs. They include Service A, Service B, and Express Service. Mercedes-Benz also utilizes a network of tire centers to enable customers to get original, premium tires that have already been inspected by an approved dealer.

Mercedes-Benz Service Types, Explained

A Mercedes SUV being worked on by a mechanic

Service A comes with several features like Mercedes-Benz motor oil replacement, oil filter replacement, fluid level checks and correction, tire inflation check and correction, brake component inspection, and lots more. Visits for Service A are meant to come after one year of vehicle use and then two years after the initial service. For Service B, the features are identical to what's available with Service A. The only difference is when drivers of any Mercedes model are expected to schedule an appointment. For Service B, the first visit should come a year after the previous service, and then two years following the last appointment.

The next category of vehicle maintenance is called Express Service, and as the title suggests, interested customers can get this without scheduling a service appointment. Two certified technicians will work on the Mercedes, and deliver quality vehicle care within 60 minutes or less. Express Service builds on the perks of Service A/B and adds the following – air/cabin filter replacement, wiper blade replacement, tire rotation and replacement, battery replacement, brake pads replacement, warranty/recall work, and more.

Following the purchase of a car, it's in the driver's best interest to leverage opportunities that guarantee the vehicle’s longevity. Mercedes-Benz’s car care is one of those services, which is why it makes sense for customers to subscribe to it. Drivers should note that each original Mercedes-Benz part used in service of their model is secured by a two-year part limited warranty.
