Despite the fact that Mean Girls was released ages ago, it is still regarded as one of the most beloved comedic classics of all time. The story revolves around the subject of power and how gaining a Queen B status can easily get to one's head. Sound familiar? Game of Thrones is a series that has surprisingly similar themes to the iconic 2004 film, as it studies how much the desire for power can interfere with a person's ethics.

There are a total of nine houses throughout all of Westeros, and each has its own unique personality. The Mean Girls characters fit surprisingly well into these houses, and the similarities they share with some of the characters on GOT are eerily similar. With that being said, here are your favorite Mean Girls characters sorted into their Game of Thrones houses!

Regina George: House Lannister

House Lannister is all about pride. They want to present themselves in the best possible light to the rest of Westeros, and they wish to appear perfect despite the fact that they secretly harbor an abundance of dirty little secrets behind closed doors.

This perfectly describes Regina George as a person, who wants to present herself in this perfect light to the rest of the world, when, in reality, she is struggling with genuine demons on the inside. She has serious self-esteem issues, and she needs some kind of outlet for all this anger stored inside her. It's safe to say that she would fit in perfectly in House Lannister, and Tywinn would be proud to call her his daughter.

Cady Heron: House Stark

Cady Heron is a character who would be best suited for House Stark. She is kind, noble, and cares deeply about doing the right thing. Although Cady ends up becoming a "mean girl" towards the latter half of the movie, she is ultimately able to redeem herself by breaking her plastic prom tiara and then giving away her power to others who desire it more.

The Starks are not a power-hungry house by any means compared to most of the other houses in the seven kingdoms. They care more about the safety and harmony of their loved ones than rising to the top. Despite the fact that Cady becomes a member of The Plastics for a short period of time, she ultimately realizes that she is not meant to have cold-hearted authority over anyone else. Everyone is equal in the eyes of Cady, and this is definitely evident in House Stark as well.

Karen Smith: House Tyrell

Karen Smith is a member of The Plastics, but this doesn't necessarily mean she's a "mean girl"—at least, in comparison to the others. When it comes down to it, Karen is sweet and well-meaning, if not slightly naive and ditzy. Out of all the Mean Girls, she is definitely the purest of heart, and her laid back/harmonious personality makes her seem the best fit for House Tyrell.

Plus, just like Lady Olenna Tyrell, Karen seems to have food on her mind a lot. Both of these Tyrell ladies believe that food is the solution to all their problems. It's why Karen suggests they go to Taco Bell when Regina is stressed out.

Gretchen Weiners: House Bolton

Gretchen Weiners is by no means as cruel and ruthless as the members of House Bolton, but a lot of her personality traits match eerily well with this house. Like Ramsay Bolton, Gretchen Weiners has a serious inferiority complex when it comes to her social status.

She hates being reminded of the fact that she's always going to be second best to Regina George, and this is just how Ramsay seems to react whenever others allude to the fact that he's a bastard child rather than an "honorable" Bolton. Because of their self-esteem issues, they both take their issues out onto other innocent people. Both Gretchen and House Bolton were taken down at the end of the day by more powerful people. That is so not fetch...

Janice Ian: House Targaryen

Janis Ian looking at something in Mean Girls

Janice Ian is arguably just as much of a "mean girl" as the members of The Plastics. This character is all about seeking revenge, and "fire and blood" would definitely be her motto. House Targaryen has a reputation for being chaotic and full of vengeance. If power is taken away from them—as it is for Janice when Regina stops being friends with her—they don't tend to react well.

The Targaryens are an "all or nothing" house through and through, and they won't stop until their goals are achieved. Janice carries out her plan to destroy Regina George's life until she finally "cracks." Her maddening plans make her seem like the ultimate Targaryen.

Damian Leigh: House Martell

Damian Leigh would most likely be a member of House Martell. This house, set in Dorn, is able to separate itself from the rest of the houses by using isolation to avoid major conflict. In a way, they sort of live in their own worlds away from all the drama and chaos that emerges elsewhere. Although Damian often finds himself in the thick of petty high school drama as it comes, we can tell he'd rather not be a part of the conflict. It's just not who he is. Whenever a fight or an argument breaks out, he tries his best to stay out of it.

Aaron Samuels: House Stark

Aaron Samuels is a character who has a strict moral code of ethics, and he tends to favor people who embody good, selfless qualities rather than selfish, shallow ones. He is drawn to Cady because of her personality, and he finds her kind/intelligent persona to be refreshing in a sea full of entitled teens. To Aaron, it is more important to be humble and giving as opposed to self-centered and careless. This seems to embody the moral code of ethics brought on by House Stark to a T.

Ms. Norburry: House Tully

Tina Fey's character seems to embody most traits from House Tully. House Tully is all about "family" "duty" and "honor." Although we don't know much about Ms. Norbury's family life despite the fact that she's going through a recent divorce, we know that she embodies "duty" and "honor" above all else when it comes to her style of teaching.

She expects a great deal from her students, and she takes her classroom very seriously. If someone is acting inappropriately, she refuses to let it just slide by. Ms. Norbury is extremely action-oriented, and she won't stop until each problem is solved—which is a heavy task at Northshore High which has too many issues to possibly list. Yet, if anyone is up for the task, it's the honorable duty-fulfiller, Ms. Norbury.

Coach Carr: House Baratheon

Coach Carr may be a minor character in Mean Girls, but he has a strong impact throughout the movie. This is mainly due to his memorable moment when we get a glimpse of his teaching skills as a sex education teacher. He says "Don't have sex because you will get pregnant... and die."

His strict, if not angry approach to life is reminiscent of the House Baratheon which is known for its severe anger issues. He is also selfish when it comes to his desires, like when he makes out with one of his students. Robert Baratheon is known for his selfish desires, so it's safe to say Carr would fit well in House Baratheon.

Mrs. George: House Lannister

Lastly, we have Mrs. George, who would be best suited for House Lannister. Similar to her daughter, Mrs. George is all about presenting herself in the best possible light. She is constantly preoccupied with appearance, like when she gets recent breast implants and when she wears the most trendy clothes. She cares a great deal about how others perceive her which is why she's quick to label herself as "not like a regular mom." Instead, she's a "cool mom," and she won't let you forget it. Her lavish, self-important lifestyle just screams "Lannister."
