The MCU is entering a new stage with their upcoming Disney+ shows. Not only will these ambitious series be on the scale of the MCU movies, but they will tie directly into the movie storylines. One of the shows that has fans most excited is WandaVision.

The show looks to reunite Wanda and Vision in a trippy and surreal adventure that looks to borrow from classic sitcoms. The series will also tie into the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While details are kept under wraps, there are plenty of rumors flying around about the show. Here are some of the rumors about WandaVision we hope are true and some we hope are not.

Hope Is True: Wanda's Powers

Since Wanda was introduced in the MCU in Avengers: Age of Ultron, she has gradually become more powerful. In Avengers: Endgame, we got to see her really unleash her power, and prove to be even stronger than Thanos.

Wanda has been dubbed as the most powerful hero in the MCU and rumors are that this series will really explore that fact. It's one thing to show her take on Thanos but it would be really interesting to see the full extent of her powers and how dangerous they might be.

Hope Is Not True: Vision Resurrected

It's clear that the series will see Wanda and Vision continuing on their unexpected romance. Of course, the major question is, how is this possible? Vision was killed in Avengers: Infinity War, and could not be brought back by Hulk's "snap." What does this mean for Vision's return?

Some rumors suggest that Wanda's reunion with Vision is an illusion and not real. Others suggest that Wanda has somehow used the Time Stone to bring Vision back. The MCU already has a lot of issues with making death matter, so hopefully, they'll maintain the impact of Vision's death and leave him dead.

Hope Is True: Kathryn Hahn As The Villain

Along with Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Beatty, the series has a stellar cast lined up. Kat Dennings and Randall Park will be reprising their roles as Darcy Lewis and Agent Woo, respectively. Teyonah Parris will be playing an adult Monica Rambeau. And Kathryn Hahn will play an unknown role.

Rumors suggest Hahn will be playing a nosy neighbor in the sitcom setting of the series, but that she is secretly a villain overseeing the entire illusion. Some have guessed she might be playing Agatha Harkness or even Nightmare. It would be a lot to fun to see what Hahn can do as the bad guy.

Hope Is Not True: Young Avengers Set-Up

The Young Avengers in the Marvel comics

Kevin Feige has hammered home the fact that the Disney+ series will be important to the overall MCU story. This has led many to suspect that the wild premise of this series will have lasting effects, and that it will help set up various other projects.

One of the main theories about the impact of this story is that it will play a large role in establishing the Young Avengers. With Vision's role in establishing the young team, and his child with Wanda being a founding member, it is a real possibility. But it seems like too much to cram into the MCU at this point, let alone shoehorning it into this already complicated series.

Hope Is True: Inside The Multiverse

It has already been confirmed that this series will lead into next summer's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with Wanda even appearing in that sequel. This has led many people to theorize that the multiverse will play a big role in this story.

One of the most interesting rumors is that Wanda is already in the multiverse at the beginning of the story. The thought is that she used her powers to access it as a way to be with Vision again. Something has clearly gone array, and Doctor Strange is brought in the fix things.

Hope Is Not True: Doctor Strange Appears

Voice Doctor Strange

Given the connection to his sequel, there have obviously been several rumors that Benedict Cumberbatch will show up in this series to further set up Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

While it seems like an obvious thing to happen, hopefully the series and the movie are kept a little more separate than that. We want to see this series tell its own story, and to have Strange show up might feel like it's just segueing into the movie without a proper conclusion.

Hope Is True: Quicksilver

Aaron Taylor Johnson as Quicksilver in Avengers Age of Ultron

The fact that Wanda apparently has the ability to bring Vision back from the dead led many people to wonder why she wouldn't try the same thing for her brother. Quicksilver was introduced alongside his sister in Age of Ultron only to be killed off quickly.

Though we might not want the character to stick around for good, it would be interesting to see him appear in the series. This could further complicate Wanda's grasp on reality, and make for some powerful moments.

Hope Is Not True: Ultron Returns

Ultron appearing before the Avengers

Ultron is a villain who is deeply connected to Wanda and Vision. He was a former ally of Wanda and the one responsible for killing her brother. Meanwhile, he helped to create Vision with the plan of him being Ultron's final form. Therefore, it's not surprising some rumors suggest the villain will make a reappearance.

With a Vision resurrection of sorts, it's not far-fetched to bring Ultron back into the fold. However, bringing an evil robot into a series that is already so bizarre seems like a mistake. Ultron wasn't a compelling villain in the movies so we're not too keen to see him get a comeback here.

Hope Is True: Wanda The Threat

Scarlet Witch Avengers Endgame

With Wanda's power level being touted as higher than any other hero, she is capable of a lot of damage. Some rumors suggest that this series and Wanda's uncontrollable power will establish her as a major threat to reality.

The theory suggests Wanda will open the multiverse to be with Vision and not realize the dire consequences that will come of it. This will lead other forces to try and stop her while Doctor Strange is forced to choose between trying to save her or risk reality collapsing.

Hope Is Not True: Mutants

X-Men comics

One of the big questions going forward in the MCU is how mutants will be introduced. With X-Men now in the hands of Marvel, it's only a matter of time before the mutant community will be established, and a whole new group of heroes will be introduced.

Given Wanda's mutant background in the comics, it is suggested that this show will help bring them into the fold. However, this once again feels like too much heavy lifting for the series to do. Introducing mutants in a throwaway manner could make a mess of things before all these new characters even appear.
