There is just one episode left in WandaVision and a lot of unanswered questions still remain. Audiences are dying to find out if anything shocking will happen in the finale. It seems likely the series won't wrap up everything in a neat bow with Wanda going forward into Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, which she will be a part of.

But there's a number of things likely to happen to give fans some closure. There will also be a lot of aspects that set up the future of the MCU. Wanda's story is far from over, and her actions will have major consequences it seems for the many upcoming movies and streaming series that make up Phase Four.

Reed Richards Is The Engineer

WandaVision Monica and Reed Richards

A lot of speculation has centered on who could be the aerospace engineer Monica Rambeau has teased on WandaVision. Fans have figured Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four, as the most likely candidate. With the Fox X-Men Quicksilver appearing in the series, nothing is off the table and Reed is likely to show up.

There are other Fantastic Four-related clues in the series, including the tantalizing possibility that Agatha's mother is at least related to Zhered-Na, a powerful sorceress from Atlantis, home of Namor.

Dottie Is The Missing Witness

WandaVision Dottie and Wanda

Another open mystery the show has to answer is who is the missing witness Jimmy Woo came to Westview in search of. His whiteboard in episode four accounted for everyone in town except for Agnes - and now fans know why - and Dottie Jones. That makes Dottie the most likely candidate.

Dottie has been conspicuously absent in the series since Jimmy Woo showed up, except for a blink and you'll miss it cameo in episode seven. Is Dottie someone from Marvel Comics? Possibly. Dottie and her husband Phil Jones share names at least with characters from the Squadron Supreme, a dimension-hopping superhero team.

Quicksilver Is Connected To The Fox X-Men Franchise

Evan Peters as Quicksilver in WandaVision/with googles in X-Men

Some fans may have been disappointed by the reveal that Evan Peters as Wanda's brother Pietro Maximoff, AKA Quicksilver, is an imposter. Pietro may be 'Fietro,' but there is likely more to it. Agatha revealed that he is simply her 'eyes and ears,' a trick to confuse Wanda.

It speaks both to Agatha's limited power - she couldn't conjure Aaron Taylor-Johnson - and the fact her power is increasing in The Hex. Her manipulation of Herb cutting the wall is a sign her powers have increased, and she likely pulled Evan Peters from somewhere, even unintentionally.

Wanda Extends The Hex Further

SWORD agents look out at the Hex

The twin threats of Agatha Harkness and SWORD will likely lead to Wanda attempting to extend The Hex even further from its current boundaries to protect her family. When Vision tried to leave, she increased the boundary to contain him. How far can she extend it? If her goal is to keep Vision and her children alive, she may even extend it around the entire world.

Wanda's powers are impossible to predict, so she won't be able to control everything that happens when she does extend The Hex, leading to serious consequences for the world.

Wanda Cracks Open The Multiverse

WandaVision Episode 8 Scarlet Witch In Mind Stone

The multiverse is set to become a major factor in Phase 4 of the MCU, and a big reason for that is likely to be connected to WandaVision. Wanda is finally the 'Scarlet Witch' and her ability to alter reality on a terrific scale will likely lead to this concept being introduced in the franchise.

A consequence of her reality-warping powers is likely to be the breakdown of reality itself. This likely leads directly into the second Doctor Strange movie and possibly explains the introduction of characters like Doctor Octopus and Electro crossing over from previous franchises into Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Director Hayward Is Not Who He Appears To Be

WandaVision Director Hayward

Wanda is certain to be pushed into her actions by SWORD Director Hayward. He is determined to destroy her and has manipulated her to create a weapon in the White Vision revealed in episode eight. He could simply be a villain born of the trauma of The Snap, but there is reason to think he isn't who he says he is.

Director Hayward could be a Skrull, planting the seeds of what eventually transpires in the Secret Invasion series. He could possibly be connected to elements of HYDRA as well. One thing seems for sure: he will be revealed as someone else.

Agatha Is Working For Mephisto

Agatha Harkness in WandaVision and Mephisto from the comics

As Agnes proved, not everyone is who they appear to be in WandaVision. Agnes was actually Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch from Marvel Comics lore. Some fans might be disappointed that there isn't a bigger bad behind it all, but it's very likely that Agatha isn't an independent operator.

The flashback to her origins in Salem, as well as the objects and ephemera in her basement, show that Agatha is interacting with magic far above her paygrade. One source is very likely Mephisto, the Marvel equivalent of the Devil, who has been referenced in numerous clues in the series so far.

Wanda Has To Destroy Vision... Again

White Vision Header WandaVision

Director Hayward is sending the White Vision to stop Wanda. It's unclear what his powers are without the Mind Stone, but he'll likely be a serious threat since he is born of her own magic. Wanda's life has been very tragic and that is going to continue. She will likely be forced to replay the act of destroying Vision in Avengers: Infinity War.

Wanda went to SWORD to bury her partner, and she will likely do it in the final episode in a way she never imagined she would have to.

Wanda Loses Everything

Wanda, Vision, Billy, and Tommy team up in the WandaVision Finale

Wanda deserves some happiness and peace, but she isn't likely to get it at the end of the series. She may find some measure of acceptance of her reality, but only after she has injured the reality of perhaps the entire universe. The Hex will come to an end and with it, likely both Vision and her children.

Vision may play a key role in this, asking her to let him go for the greater good. He may not be entirely lost, given her power, and her children are likely to play some role as Wiccan and Speed are both major members of Young Avengers, which the MCU is slowly assembling.

Doctor Strange Appears

Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange in the MCU

Given the fact that Wanda will appear in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, it seems very possible that Doctor Strange will appear in WandaVision. He could make a brief cameo in a post-credits scene in episode nine, arriving to make sense of what's happened in Westview.

He could also intervene in a way to help Wanda control her magical abilities. It's possible both of them also have a role to play in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will deal in some way with the multiverse.
