The MCU laid more of its cards on the table for future projects such as Secret Wars as well as other news. As speculation builds towards the future of The Avengers and The Fantastic Four, it's fun to take a look back at the favorite heroes of the MCU and how they might compare to other franchises.

In a series of one on one fights, the MCU heroes and their Arrowverse ability counterparts will face off. Since these are purely hypothetical, determinations will have to be made by the feats of each character in their own universes of combat.

Green Arrow Wins A Gritty Brawl With Hawkeye

Green Arrow vs Hawkeye

Comparing the archery levels of Hawkeye and Green Arrow is difficult. Both seem to be as good as one can be, rarely miss, and have a seemingly infinite amount of arrows and gadgets to go with them. Green Arrow may have a slight advantage as he's actually faced off against other archers before. But his true advantage would be in hand-to-hand combat.

While Hawkeye is a formidable fighter in the MCU, Oliver Queen is a larger and likely stronger physical specimen. Even if Hawkeye were to have a slight edge on skill, Oliver has had more displayed experience against larger physical brawlers and martial artists, even going toe to toe with Ra's al Ghul.

White Canary Narrowly Beats Black Widow

Black Widow vs White Canary

Two heroes plagued with their dark pasts, Sara Lance and Natasha Romanoff are the best of the best in their respected universes in terms of hand-to-hand fighters and assassins. White Canary's character in the series is mainly a construct of the Arrowverse, and her being a central character resulted in her becoming quite strong.

In an extremely close fight, White Canary may have a slight edge over Black Widow due to the fighters she's faced and training from Ra's al Ghul. The matchup could easily go either way, though.

Captain America Out-Skills Citizen Steel

Captain America vs Citizen Steel

Nate Heywood is a lovable addition to the Arrowverse in Season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow, with his costume inspired by the Marvel hero. The original Captain America is hard to top, though, and despite Heywood's powers of turning to steel, Captain America still has the edge due to his fighting abilities.

Steve Rodgers is a formidable fighter, and his signature shield would be a great help in a fight with Steel. The vibranium may be tougher than Steel's body and, combined with his superior fighting abilities, could do some damage.

Vision Overpowers The Nuclear Firestorm

Vision vs Firestorm

Vision proved himself multiple times to be one of the heavy hitters of the Avengers. Unfortunately, the character only made it through a few films before his death and didn't get to match up with his comic book counterpart. Still, he has the power to take on Firestorm.

Firestorm has the potential for great power, but Vision's speed and strength would outmatch Firestorm's base abilities. Firestorm doesn't have the same durability, and the first hits landed on him would be overwhelming.

Supergirl Defeats Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel vs Supergirl

Captain Marvel is one of the strongest Avengers and one of the MCU's best tickets to box office success, so this defeat is no insult to her power. The Arrowverse version of Supergirl, however, was made to be overpowered as she was the center of her own show and world. Her powers even outmatched the show's version of Superman.

Captain Marvel is still a young character as far as the MCU timeline is concerned and will likely continue to grow stronger in The Marvels and beyond. In a future reassessment, she could take the win in this fight.

Thor Fends Off Superman

Thor vs Superman

In the context of the DC and Marvel comic lore, Superman is usually the favorite of this matchup, but when it comes to the Arrowverse, Tyler Hoechlin's portrayal in the crossover events seemed rather underpowered. The MCU's Thor appears faster, stronger, and better equipped for fights. Not to mention, Thor is one of the most powerful characters in the MCU altogether.

This decreased power of Superman is likely due to wanting Supergirl to be the center of the show's attention. Brandon Routh or Henry Cavill's Superman may have had a better shot in the matchup, but not as much is known of his powers and abilities.

The Atom's Tech Beats Ant-Man

Ant-man vs the Atom

Brandon Routh's Atom was a welcome addition to the Arrowverse, combining the classic shrinking powers with a more modernized idea of the machine operating suit similar to Iron Man. Either Iron Man or Ant-Man could've been an interesting matchup, but the size-changing ability users have to face off.

Ant-Man, like some other Marvel heroes, hasn't had as much screen time to really show off his guns and often gets reduced to comedic relief in the crossover events. The Atom has proven his abilities with the suit and as a hero. Ant-Man is one of the luckiest Avengers, so he may have that going for him in the fight, but he needs to prove more combat prowess on-screen before he gets the edge here.

The Legends Defeat The Guardians

Legends of Tomorrow vs Guardians of the Galaxy

The Guardians of the Galaxy were a massive hit for fans after their debut film in 2014 and were likely a source of inspiration for the Legends of Tomorrow show. The idea of a team of misfits coming together to find a place where they feel at home is touching and relatable, with the added portion of them going on adventures through space or time.

The Legends have more heavy hitters, with the power of Firestorm or John Constantine being way ahead of that of the Guardians. While both are tight-knit teams, the Guardians just don't have the strength to take on super-powered foes in the Legends.

Moon Knight Takes Out Batwoman

Moon Knight vs Batwoman

Moon Knight is one of the MCU's newest heroes and hasn't yet proven to be entirely consistent or in control of his powers, but at full strength, he would likely be able to conquer either version of Batwoman in hand-to-hand combat. Batwoman is certainly strong enough to earn her spot in the League, but Moon Knight is too powerful for a mortal fighter.

Moon Knight has enhanced superhuman abilities, and Batwoman's only path to victory would be through her strength in tactics, taking advantage of Moon Knight's inexperience and inconsistency.

Martian Manhunter's Powers Hold Off The Hulk

Hulk vs Martian Manhunter

The Hulk is not as powerful in the MCU as he is in the comics, and he's not nearly as angry (especially now). Regardless, the Martian Manhunter just has a better variety of powers that would put him ahead of the Hulk. Shape-shifting and being able to go invisible would allow him to tactically take on his opponent.

His abilities to fly and also his telepathy may be able to combine with his strength for a tactical approach in taking on The Hulk. As hard as it may be to bring him down, The Hulk wouldn't have much ability to fight back.
