After the confirmed returning of Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, fans are abuzz about the MCU's Spider-Man 3. Seemingly embracing the idea of a Spider-Verse movie, fans are excited to see Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield all on the same screen. At this point, the sky's the limit when it comes to potential characters.

If this is Spider-Verse, a cast of three Spider-Men is awesome but small for a Spider-Verse story. That's why fans are speculating as to who else could be part of the Spider-Army in the film. There are a lot of Spider-People out there with potential castings that could lead to spinoffs.

Spider-Woman (Aunt May) - Marisa Tomei

Marisa Tomei - Spider-Woman

Marisa Tomei has been severely underused as Aunt May so far. She's been great in the role but definitely deserves more screentime. This can be solved with the Spider-Verse concept as there is a version of Aunt May who was bitten by the radioactive spider.

She has several aliases: Spider-Lady, Spider-Ma'am, etc. She was even in the Spider-Geddon crossover story. Not only would this allow Marisa Tomei to join the superhero action but fans could get a kick out of Aunt May kicking bad-guy butt.

Spinneret - Bryce Dallas Howard

Bryce Dallas Howard - Spinneret

Bryce Dallas Howard was featured as Gwen Stacy in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. The problem is that the great actress' talents were wasted on a very poor film. Many fans agreed that Bryce would have made for a much better Mary Jane Watson than Gwen Stacy.

Another problem fixed via the multiverse. Spinneret is a version of Mary Jane from an alternate universe where she is a Spider-Person and a mom of Spiderling. Playing Spinneret would give Bryce a better superhero role and potentially set up a spinoff.

Agent Venom - Joe Manganiello

Joe Manganiello - Agent Venom

When it comes to nerdy actors, few are as public about it as Joe Manganiello. He is a huge Dungeons & Dragons player, he loves Star Wars and loves comic books. Joe has actually played two comic book roles: one as Deathstroke in the DC Extended Universe. The other being the original Flash Thompson from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies.

While he's not a Spider-Person, Agent Venom has made waves as a dark anti-hero for Marvel. Joe Manganiello could return as an alternate Flash Thompson wearing the Venom symbiote. As a bonus, it could allow him to reunite with Tobey Maguire.

Silk - Jamie Chung

Jamie Chung - Silk

There were rumors of Silk getting her own spinoff series. Of course, fans were confused by this choice but now it makes more sense with Spider-Verse acting as a springboard. Who is Silk? A woman who bitten by the same spider as Peter Parker before it died.

It takes Cindy Moon six years to master her powers and become the vigilante known as Silk. Created by Dan Slott, Silk quickly became a fan-favorite after her introduction. Not only was she likable but she provided more Asian representation. Jamie Chung has worked with Marvel before with Big Hero 6 and Fox's The Gifted but she deserves a role in the MCU.

Superior Spider-Man - Tom Holland

Tom Holland - Superior Spider-Man

With the confirmation of Doc Ock's return, a potential story arc from the comics could come into play. The final fight of the movie could be the Spider-Army fighting an evil Spider-Man! How? Well, in the comics, Doc Ock cheats death by swapping bodies with Spider-Man.

It was a controversial story at first but it has become a famous part of Spider-Man history. The Superior Spider-Man would be the perfect villain (or an ally) for Spider-Verse. Movies like the recent The Devil All the Time have shown Tom Holland's range and ability to play darker characters.

Mayday Parker - Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick - Mayday Parker

With Tobey Maguire's return, Sony could give the character his proper ending by having him retire. Joining him on the Spider-Verse adventure could be his own daughter: May "Mayday" Parker AKA Spider-Girl.

Whether Peter dies or retires, it would be fitting to have the torch pass onto Mayday. May is an adorable and lovable character who carries the mantle well in the comics. Fans have been wanting Anna Kendrick to join Marvel or DC as well; so Mayday seems like the perfect fit for her.

Spider-Gwen - Emma Stone

Emma Stone - Spider-Gwen

After Spider-Gwen stole the show in the Into The Spider-Verse animated movie, fans instantly asked for Emma Stone to return as Gwen Stacy. With Andrew Garfield returning, it would be perfect to see a mourning Peter meet a mourning Gwen to finish the story arc from The Amazing Spider-Man series.

Emma is still a great actress and she would likely fit back into Gwen Stacy like a glove. Fans could finally see Ghost-Spider AKA Spider-Gwen in live-action and likely set up a spin-off. Either way, it is a win-win.

A Fourth Peter Parker - Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe - Peter Parker

Yes, another alternate universe version of Peter Parker. Why? Well, first is that it could allow for a spinoff franchise that doesn't have to tie to the MCU. Second, this Spider-Man could embrace something closer to the recent Marvel's Spider-Man videogame; where Spidey has been at this job for several years.

Third, it could connect to the Venom movies thus explaining why aliens were such a new thing in that film. Fourth and finally, Daniel Radcliffe has expressed interest in playing Spider-Man multiple times in the past. Every movie he's done outside of Harry Potter shows he's very versatile. He's never gotten a comic book movie role and Spider-Verse could fix that.

Spider-Man 2099 - Oscar Isaac

Oscar Isaac - Spider-Man 2099

That post-credit scene at the end of Into The Spider-Verse was meant to hint at something. True, it could be an animated sequel; it could also be setting up Spider-Man 2099 going from universe to universe in search of help. If J.K. Simmons can play two versions of J. Jonah Jameson, then Oscar Isaac can play both Spider-Man and Moon Knight.

Oscar Isaac could easily portray Miguel O'Hara in both live-action and animation. Let's face it: if Oscar Isaac showed up as 2099 in the live-action Spider-Verse? It would get as much applause as Spider-Man's appearance in Captain America: Civil War.

Miles Morales - Caleb McLaughlin

Caleb McLaughlin - Miles Morales

Between the animated movie and the two Spider-Man games, everyone now wants Miles Morales. Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame set up a perfect way to introduce him too. Donald Glover's Aaron Davis mentioned that he has a nephew: obviously a hint at Miles. Miles could be one of the people who did not die from Thanos' snap and lived in New York for five years.

Miles could potentially be the right age to become Spider-Man now. Who would play him? Caleb McLaughlin has shown his range with Netflix's Stranger Things as Lucas Sinclair. With a bright career ahead of him, most fans agree he is the perfect actor for Miles.
