Peter Parker aka Spider-Man is one of the most popular superheroes in the MCU. And he's also one of the few ones who manage to combine their superhero activity and romantic life. In fact, Peter seems to be better at relationships than many of his older superhero colleagues. He got together with his crush, Michelle Jones, or simply MJ, in the last film Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).

That corresponds with the comics where MJ and Peter are the ultimate power couple. However, should the unimaginable happen and these two break up in the films, there are plenty of other great characters with whom Peter could be happy.

Shuri

Shuri and Peter Parker

Shuri is 3 years older than Peter, having been born in 1998. However, that didn't stop many fans of the MCU from shipping the two characters together.

It's easy to see why - they're both extremely intelligent, not always so good in social situations, and focused on helping their families. Plus, they like to tinker and invent things, so they would have a shared hobby as a couple.

Cassie Lang

It's true that Cassie is 6 years younger than Peter, she was born in 2007. However, since Peter was the victim of the Snap and Cassie wasn't, she's only one year younger.

Cassie hasn't had a big part in the MCU just yet but she could become a superhero known as Stature which might cross her path with Peter's. She's smart, kind, and has a sense of humor so it's possible Cassie and Peter would click.

Lila Barton

It's unclear how old Lila Barton is in the MCU. However, it looks like she inherited her dad's talent for archery. Once she grows up a little, Lila could join the Avengers.

And since Peter is similar to her in age, it's not such a stretch to imagine they could like one another. Not much is known about her personality but she seems determined and talented, just like Peter is.

Betty Brant

It's true that Betty dated Peter's best friend Ned instead. But their romance lasted only for the duration of their trip to Europe, and when they broke up, it was a peaceful break-up. Betty and Peter liked each other in the comics when they both worked at the Daily Bugle.

It's unlikely this storyline will happen in the MCU but they could still get together in a different way, and Ned most likely wouldn't mind that his best friend and ex-girlfriend are now an item.

Gwen Stacy

It's time to look at characters who aren't in the MCU right now but could be a match for Peter. Gwen Stacy has had multiple portrayals in the comics and other forms of media, but the version of her that might fit the MCU Peter the best is probably Spider-Gwen.

They could fight villains side by side and would get along in civil life as well since they're both smart, funny, and stubborn. Plus, Gwen was Peter's first great love in the comics, even before MJ and he got together.

Felicia Hardy

Black Cat

Once Peter Parker grows up a little in the MCU, he and Felicia Hardy aka Black Cat could become a couple. It would bring something new into the MCU since the films don't often present couples where one of the partners is a superhero and the other one is a villain or an antihero at best.

Black Cat's no-nonsense, independent personality would bring a breath of fresh air into the MCU, and she and Peter always had chemistry to die for in the comics.

Kamala Khan

With her solo show upcoming, there's no reason why Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Peter Parker couldn't meet one day. They seem to be of a similar age and could become friends, if not start dating right away. Kamala and Peter have similar experiences - they both had to hide their powers from their families and juggle going to school and being a superhero.

That, alongside their sense of humor and love for their families and friends, could be enough to bring them together. What's more, they're both somewhat nerdy and geek out whenever they meet a more established superhero they admire.

Doreen Allene Green

Squirrel Girl on a rooftop with her squirrels

Better known as Squirrel Girl, Doreen is another young superhero who hasn't made it into the MCU just yet but could one day. She and Peter have a lot in common. Just like the above-mentioned Ms. Marvel, Doreen also struggles with finding the balance between going to school and being a superhero.

She's smart and funny and wants to impress older, more experienced superheroes. All of this is also true for Peter so he and Doreen would be a great duo.

Cindy Moon

Cindy Moon aka Silk hanging on webs

Cindy Moon aka Silk has very similar powers to Peter - since the same spider bit her. The spider's now dead but the MCU could change Cindy's origin or make it clear that she's only been hiding for the last few years.

The pair wasn't as close as other established couples on the list but they worked well together as costumed heroes and could have a brief relationship ending in friendship.
