Spider-Man: Far From Home, the sequel to character's MCU solo debut, sees Peter Parker as he desperately tries to avoid wearing the mask, in hopes of enjoying his class trip to Europe. A plan that goes awry when Nick Fury shows up to recruit him for a mission in which the fate of the world is at stake.

Like most movies, the film has a bunch of scenes that were removed on the path to release. Had those scenes been kept in the movie, we got could have gotten a much different film than the one we received. So here are 10 ways Spider-Man: Far From Home could have been different according to deleted scenes.

Crime Family

Spider-Man fights criminals in a restaurant.

One scene that was cut from the film was one in the trailer, which saw Peter fighting against the Manfredi crime family in a restaurant while wearing the Iron spider suit gifted to him by Tony Stark. It was actually one of a sequence of short scenes called "Peter's To-Do List" which saw Peter taking care of several tasks in preparation for his trip.

After the fight with the mobsters, we see Peter engage in banter with the cops that arrive on the scene, making him feel like a part of the community in the same way that having him talking to civilians did in the first movie. Had it not been removed, it would have given us another action scene that felt ripped straight from the comics, not that the film was lacking any.

More Mysterio

Another removed scene would have occurred before the final "showdown" against the elementals and would have provided another look at Jake Gyllenhaal as Quentin Beck. The scene sees Beck wearing his mocap suit, sipping a green drink from a cup, and talking to his crew who are all dressed as random tourists, instructing them to get as much footage of the "fight" as possible.

Beck then tells one of his team members to fire up the device that released the energy surges that he had told S.H.I.E.L.D were from the elementals, before receiving a call from Nick Fury which he answers, claiming to be on his way to the fight. After hanging up, he turns back to his crew, repeating his line that he earlier said to Peter, "Never apologize for being the smartest one in the room."

Pawning Action Figures

Another part of the "Peter's To-Do List" sequence would have seen Peter sell some of his Star Wars collectibles in order to get the money to purchase the glass black dahlia necklace that we see him give to MJ later in the film. As we know from the comics, Peter isn't the most financially stable.

In Civil War, we find out that he dumpster dives to get old tech and constantly seems to be carrying around a broken phone. We would have seen him at a pawn shop, handing the man behind the counter a box of action figures before reaching back in and insisting on keeping the figure of Lobot, a character from The Empire Strikes Back.

Passport Pickup

Another thing Peter had to do before going on his trip was pick up his passport for the United States Postal Service Building. After waiting in the extremely long line for a moment, Peter proceeds to take out his phone and uses it to switch the booth sign from off to on by operating the mini spider-drone that aided him during the monument scene in Homecoming.

It's a short scene but it does demonstrate how having access to the gadgets and tech that being Spider-Man provides, helps make Peter's life just a little bit easier.

Blip Back

Far From Home takes place 8 months after, and directly connects to, the events of Avengers: Endgame which saw 50% of the population return after being snapped out of existence 5 years prior by Thanos, a group that includes the majority of the Spider-Man characters.

One of the best parts of the first movie was the hilariously awkward segment that was the Midtown High News, led by co-anchors Jason Ionello and Betty Brant. The removed scene would have seen them both fading from existence and then show them coming back causing Jason to vomit and resulting in Betty telling the anchor that replaced her over the 5 years that she was in her chair.

Flash's Vlog

Flash Thompson is a classic Spider-Man character that serves as Peter's classmate and rival. Throughout the film, you can see Flash in the background recording everything around him on his phone. Using clips that heavily features Flash's face as he runs away from the destruction being caused by Mysterio's drones, the deleted scene would have shown a different perspective of the final battle, similarly to how Peter's footage in Homecoming gave a different perspective on the airport fight.

In addition to appearing on the film's Blu-Ray, the footage is also available on The Daily Bugle's website. Keeping this clip in the movie likely would have affected the pacing of the film so it is probably for the better that it was taken out and repurposed, maybe we'll see it used in news footage for the upcoming 3rd Spider-Man movie.

Mr. Delmar

Delmar Cropped

Homecoming introduced a lot of side characters that helped make Peter's corner of New York feel more lived in. One of those characters was Deli-Grocery store owner, Mr. Delmar. One of the stops on Peter's To-Do List would have seen him go to Delmar's new store, since the first one was destroyed when Peter attempted to stop a nearby bank robbery being carried out by men using Chitauri weapons, in order to get some supplies for his trip including the headphone splitter that he had planned to share with MJ on the plane.

After Peter selects his supplies, we see Delmar jokingly ask if he can go with Peter on his trip and then quickly changing his mind after finding out that the trip was science and history related.

Peter and MJ

One of Peter's main goals was to find out if MJ liked him as much as he liked her. By the end of the movie, the two had kissed and had started a relationship. One of the scenes that were removed would have cemented the status of that relationship even more.

It would have had the two napping next to other on the plane returning back to the US, juxtaposing a scene earlier in the film in which Peter was trying everything in his power to sit next to MJ and spend time with her, including lying about his allergies which ends up resulting in him sitting next to his teacher, Mr. Harrington.

May's opinion

The film's main MacGuffin was a pair of augmented reality glasses left for Peter by Tony Stark called EDITH that gives the wearer access to a number of security features including an army of weaponized drones. Peter had asked Beck his opinion on the glasses earlier to which Beck responded that they looked stupid, a move that he later realizes was a manipulation tactic in an attempt to get him to give them up.

When May arrives to pick Peter up from the airport, Peter puts on EDITH to get his aunt's opinion of them. After looking initially she says that they're too obvious but after Peter explains that they're Tony's she follows up with saying that he'll grow into them.

Austria Bus Stop

Although it is classified as a deleted scene on the Blu-ray, it is more of an extended version of a scene we got which saw Peter's class, aboard a bus being driven by Dimitri, one of Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D agents, taking a rest stop at a gift shop in Austria. This is the same scene in which Peter's classmate, Brad, is able to snap a photo of Peter with his pants off while he is trying to put on the new suit given to him by SHIELD.

This version doesn't change much but it does show what Peter's classmates were doing at the time, including Mr. Dell desperately trying to find a restroom and Flash trying to appear more "cultured" in his videos.
