Here are 25 different cosmic villains we want to see in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios may have kicked off the epic shared universe with a grounded approach, but the MCU has continued to become more cosmic. Thor managed to be the first foray into space, while The Avengers showed the threats that it could bring to Earth and the broader cosmic scope of the future. We've since seen the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise fully introduce the MCU cosmic style, and movies like Thor: Ragnarok and Captain Marvel follow suit.

This was all building towards Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which have plenty of cosmic elements to them. The arrival of Thanos, the introduction of worlds like Vormir and Nidavellir, and a giant set piece of Titan all played parts in the culminating chapters of Phase 3. The final battle was ultimately on Earth, but with Thor going back to space and Captain Marvel patrolling the larger cosmos, Thanos is likely just the first of many cosmic villains that the MCU will introduce.

In the newest video from Screen Rant, we run through 25 different cosmic villains that we want to see involved in Phase 4 of the MCU. Some clear cut candidates are discussed in the video, but so too are a few smaller ones and those that are more recent to Marvel Comics. In any case, check out the video at the top of this post for the full list of cosmic villains Marvel Studios should consider for Phase 4.

When it comes to cosmic threats for the MCU, one of the foes that fans are now anxious to see be introduced is Galactus. The larger than life villain has not been able to be part of the MCU as his rights were tied up with Fox, but now that Disney has bought the studio, Marvel Studios can bring Galactus into the fold whenever they choose. For us and many others, the hope is that this won't be too long. If they do wait on Galactus, the likes of the High Evolutionary, Blastaar, Kang the Conqueror, Thane, Beyonder, Annihilus, and Adam Warlock are other popular suggestions.

At this point, though, it is not clear which villains the MCU will introduce in Phase 4, mainly because they haven't confirmed any of the films that will come during this span. The Eternals will likely be a cosmic film, but may not feature any of these choices as its main villain, as Druig could fill that role for the potential franchise starter. There is a good chance that Adam Warlock is introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 whenever it arrives, while a few of these other villains could fit in with a Nova solo film, the first MCU Fantastic Four movie, or the eventual X-Men film.
